The Opportunity
The IT Operational Manager position requires a professional with great leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. You will have extensive knowledge and expertise in the systems operational field. You will have extensive knowledge of SaaS Applications, understand how the infrastructure behind them works, and create exceptional experience outcomes for internal and external customers.. You can expect to continually learn at Open Text, developing new skills from various experiences. It also calls for strategic thinking and the use of decision-making authority. Candidates need strong project management experience and the ability to monitor and manage multiple initiatives concurrently, as well as excellent staff management skills.
The Ops Center role is a crucial part of our organization and is at an exciting time for OpenText as we seek to scale and optimize our internal and external processes, transforming and delivering a customer experience that delights across all touch points.

Extensive leadership, management, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to build high performing teams in a high paced and demanding customer environment.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Lead employee development through clear goal setting, establishing development plans, regular 1:1, and performance reviews
Manage tools, systems and procedures to ensure dynamic management of issues and customer management
What it takes
Drive and support development across your team, identifying the engineers’ aspirations and working with the business internally on upskilling skillsets.
Manage and monitor the Service Operations team’s productivity
Define a clear training schedule for the Service Operations teams to ensure they are trained and developed in accordance with the technologies supported.
Hire, develop and retain highly responsive and customer focused engineers to ensure effective operation of the department
Ensure continual service improvement within the Ops Team including but not limited to automation of tasks and reporting, working closely with Problem Management, reduce expenditure and routine administration task
Create reports to help manage and improve the performance and KPIs of the team and service being provided.
