We’re in search of a driven and seasoned Life Science Growth & Strategy Consultant to join Birlasoft’s vibrant team. Your role will be pivotal in crafting business growth strategies tailored for the Life Sciences Industry vertical. You’ll spearhead key initiatives, fostering business transformation for our esteemed Life Science clients. This position demands a profound grasp of the Life Science landscape, coupled with adeptness in market insight, strategic planning, technology implementation, and project management within the IT services realm.

Responsibilities:

Business Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with senior leadership and clients to devise comprehensive strategic plans customized to the unique demands and hurdles of the Life Science sector. Conduct thorough market analyses, competitor evaluations, and stakeholder consultations to inform strategic decisions and prioritize growth and innovation initiatives.

Domain Strategy Development

Based on business strategy, lead the LSS domain strategy for Birlasoft to build differentiation in offerings, solutions and narrative, drive domain-led consulting and in turn build deeper and more value-based relationships with the customers. Domain strategy should also lead to improved branding, revenue streams and profitability in LSS for Birlasoft.

Key Initiatives Execution

Leading the execution of strategic initiatives which could include domain capability development, IP development, supporting large deals, and/or providing leadership for critical customer engagements.

Business Transformation:

Lead interdisciplinary teams in pinpointing opportunities for business transformation and operational enhancement within Life Science entities. Employ industry expertise and best practices to devise and execute strategic endeavors aimed at streamlining processes, refining product development lifecycles, and propelling digital evolution.

Technology Enablement:

Engage with clients to harness technology solutions and digital platforms to tackle key business challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the Life Science domain. Offer proficiency in areas like cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and IoT to foster innovation and bolster operational efficacy.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of regulatory prerequisites and industry benchmarks governing the Life Science realm, including FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO standards. Aid clients in navigating compliance complexities, mitigating risks, and implementing quality management systems to ensure regulatory adherence and product integrity.

Client Engagement:

Act as a trusted advisor to Life Science clients, cultivating robust relationships and delivering value-added services aligned with their strategic aims and business imperatives. Collaborate closely with clients to grasp their challenges, pinpoint improvement opportunities, and devise bespoke solutions that drive business value.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Biotechnology, with an Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) preferred.

At least two years of experience in strategy consulting or management consulting within the Life Science domain.

Comprehensive understanding of the Life Science landscape, encompassing industry trends, market dynamics, regulatory requisites, and competitive terrain.

Proven track record of spearheading business transformation initiatives, strategic planning, and technology enablement projects within Life Science entities.

Robust analytical skills with the capability to distill intricate information, identify insights, and formulate data-driven recommendations.

Superlative communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for fostering rapport with clients, influencing stakeholders, and facilitating constructive dialogues.

Robust project management acumen, including the capacity to concurrently manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to shifting priorities.

Familiarity with IT solutions and cutting-edge digital technologies pertinent to the Life Science sector, such as Digital/Cloud/AI, ERP systems, laboratory informatics, electronic data capture (EDC), and regulatory software.
