Job Summary
The System Administrator II position is responsible for remote administration of production, and non-production systems, as well as infrastructure related Windows Servers, Certificate Authorities, SSL Certificates,Digicert, Key Encryption, Cryptograpy, Authentication and Active Directory technologies. In addition this position provides assistance with problem diagnosis and resolves 90% of issues before escalating to the next tier level of support. This position also creates and follows work plans and understands associated documentation and complies with Change Management policies. This position performs daily operational checks, reviews event management alerts and e-mails, and assists with automation. Lastly, this position performs server maintenance during approved windows, some of which are after the normal business day and on weekends and supports On-Call operations to provide 24x7x365 support to maintain customer OLAs and SLAs.
Experience
5+ years’ of system administration experience designing/deploying/supporting/maintaining Windows 2012/2016/2019 environments at an enterprise level.
5+ years’ experience working on IT projects and part of a project team in a follow the sun global support model.
Experience with Authentication mechanisms, i.e. Active Directory, LDAP.
Knowledge of Cryptography standards, Public Certificate Infrastructure, Microsoft PKI, Key Encryption Management, SSL Server & Client Certificates.
Practical and theoretical knowledge on PKI and cryptography
Understanding of cryptographic concepts symmetric/asymmetric cryptography.
Experienced on Thales DSM.
Experienced on Digicert or Entrust CAs and MS PKIs.
Experience with Certificate lifecycle management.
Knowledge on code signing certificates.
Familiarity with Windows, Windows Server, UNIX/Linux operating systems and the administration of those operating systems.
Familiarity with ITIL, AGILE and monitoring methodologies.
Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, UDP and NTP.
Familiarity with databases like Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, MySQL Lite and PostgreSQL.

Ability to create reports to summarize the status of varied operational processes within the Event Management team and internal CSG teams.

Strong interpersonal and exceptional written/verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with teams from both a business and technical background, in a courteous and professional manner.
