General Summary: The Advisor, IT role performs SAN/NAS Administration storage solutions, Predominately Deep Knowledge on VMAX, UNITY , VNX , VM,RPA, VPLEX, FABRIC. Responsible for performing a wide variety of daily storage management tasks, migrations as well as maintaining frequent communications with the customer to ensure the requirements of each task are fully understood so expected timelines are met. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Considered advanced in the implementation and use of Dell EMC/Virtustream storage solutions. Knowledgeable of industry best practices in the implementation of complex storage environments. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with both internal and external customers.
An opportunity exists for an Advisor, Service Delivery (SAN) to join Virtustream’s Managed Services Organization. The successful candidate will assist with managing and migrate an Enterprise customer’s Storage Infrastructure as part of a domestic group.
This role will require the candidate to be part of a formal support rotation and it should be additionally noted that out of hours on-call efforts will be required as part of incident support and delivering project responsibilities, specifically to implement changes that necessitate impact to Customer production.
Key Responsibility:
Drives problem resolutions that have been escalated. Implements fixes for performance issues.
Implement & support Data Migration solution.
Implement & support Disaster recovery solution
Implement local replication using EMC products for testing and backup.
Install, implement and support new EMC hardware
Essential Requirements
Strong knowledge on High-end storages such as Dell EMC Power Max, Vmax, ECS, Isilon, Unity and Compellent or any enterprise class Storages. Powermax, Vmax, Isilon
Experience working on Powerstore, Netapp, ITIL Framework, Python scripting and Ansible
Experience in scripting and automation will be an added advantage.
Desirable Requirements
Dell EMC Proven Professional Certification desired
ITIL certification, Knowledge/certification on one or more cloud technology like Azure or GCP
