Background:
Automation factory within UniOps has unlocked capacity across Unilever Business Units, Experiences and, and IT platforms through enabling a digital workforce.
This is done through cutting edge technologies like RPA (Robotics Process Automation), Machine Learning, Image and Video analytics, Chatbots and other cognitive capabilities.
The team has automated almost 1700 processes releasing 3.3 million hours annually at a success rate of 98%, setting industry benchmarks. It is done through a unique ecosystem of vendor partners and service integrators, enabling best in class services at low costs and high agility. In 2022, the automation agenda is set to accelerate through key strategic programs across the globe.
Main Job Purpose:
As a part of Automation Factory, you will be expected to engage, evangelise, and land automation capability across Unilever, thus enabling a future fit organisation.
IT Innovation Manager – Engagement Lead is a key position in Automation factory responsible for engaging with different Platform Services, Business units, Experience teams managing demand generation to delivery of Intelligent Automation requirements, tracking, and overseeing build and operations with vendor partners, ensuring adherence to agreed KPIs, providing right visibility to stakeholders, regular governance, benefit tracking and ensuring customer satisfaction. As Innovation lead the person is also expected to identify new trends and technologies in the automation space that maybe relevant for Unilever and work towards industrialisation and deployment of the same.
The role would be reporting to Intelligent Automation Lead within Automation Factory
Job Summary:
Partnering – Effectively partners multiple stakeholders across Unilever (Business Units, IT Platforms and Experience teams)
Demand Management– drives engagement through workshops, regular connects, adoption of RPA & cognitive technologies, stake holder management
Leading senior stakeholder discussions, defining governance standards, program & budget tracking and lead functional roadmap using Automation
Ensure smooth delivery of RPA/cognitive automation demands, PGLS and L3 support
Understand and work with vendor partners to deliver RPA on technologies across BP, AA, UiPath and environments
Evaluate vendors and solution across Cognitive automation, develop skills in new technology, lead and deliver automation agenda for the function responsible
Ensure adherence to agreed KPIs, hold vendor partners accountable
Joint accountability of service KPIs with AF Support lead and reduction of support tickets
Joint accountability with Innovation COE for delivery of new capabilities and innovation ideas
Manage stakeholder communication effectively via reports, governance forums and community of practice
Identify upcoming trends in Automation space and build frameworks for Unilever adoption
External vendor & startup ecosystem engagement to bring Outside in view for growth of automation within Unilever and enable technology adoption, and culture of innovation within team
Key Requirements:
Essential:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information security, or information systems
Should be able to do the market scan for new ask with enterprise architecture.
Previous IT work experience of 5+ years with hands on experience in operations
Experience with program leadership, governance and change enablement.
Understanding of wide areas of IT practice and applications
Comfortable with fast changing environment and ambiguity.
Fluent English communication skills – verbal & written.
Ability to take initiatives, high on Growth Mind-set and Bias for Action .
High external orientation to identify new trends and technologies that may be relevant for Unilever
Organizes, manages, and leads the team that is responsible for achieving the project objectives.
