Job summary
Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global e-Comm environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses worldwide, including retail, third party marketplaces, e-Comm platforms, web services for developers. The SPS (Selling Partner Systems) function is responsible for building retail platforms, tools and automation required to manage selection, maintain competitive pricing, forecast demand, buy products and deal with vendors. CMT (Competitor Monitoring Team) is an integral part of SPS enabling Amazon’s pricing strategy and operations. The team’s primary role is to provide on-time and accurate competitive pricing inputs to help make great pricing decisions. We build and execute scalable & efficient processes to ensure Amazon’s price competitiveness. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and Amazon’s topline & profitability.

We need a program manager to lead a team and drive Analytics and Business Intelligence initiatives in partnership with stakeholder teams. This role requires dealing with diverse stakeholders (Engineering, Data Science and Operations) and senior larders to drive strategic conversations. This role requires active participation and influencing competitive pricing roadmap through data backed insights and experiments.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
. Lead team of highly skilled program, Analytics and BI resources. Deploy right team structure to grow team members by providing growth opportunity and new learnings. Attract right talent in partnership with recruitment team to keep raising bar with every new hire.
. Work with engineering, program, product and operations management to translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications, design and implement solutions.
. Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning research/ML algorithms and dozens of services and data solutions.
. Provide guidance in the management of ML models including identification of right models, documentation of model design, assumptions/limitations, administration, output and uses, governance, change management, and input processing.
. Build internal and customer-facing dashboards to provide metrics and convey insights which highlight business performance and explain variance. Develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity.
. Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability, drive organization-wide products and mechanisms to achieve infrastructure cost efficiency goals. Establish mechanisms to track and report progress to key stakeholders
. Work closely with operations and category teams across the globe, building on your strong analytical skills to support multiple teams with regular production of metrics and analytics that are meaningful. Use your skills in analysis and data visualization to provide actionable insights for multiple Amazon business teams.
. Perform independent model validation and analyze factors that augment quantitative models (judgement decisions and other qualitative factors) review to confirm proper controls and adequate documentation are in place.
. Prepare model validation report to support risk assessments and testing, and present findings to business stakeholder.

We need a program manager to lead a team and drive business programs in partnership with stakeholder teams. This role requires dealing with diverse stakeholders (Operations, Finance and Tech) and senior larders to drive strategic conversations. This role requires active participation and influencing competitive pricing roadmap.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline with 6+ years experience.
. Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
. Program management experience with exposure to working with engineering and science teams, project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling
. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.
. Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
. Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, relational databases (Redshift, RDS, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) experience using data visualization tools like Tableau/Quicksight/RShiny
. 2+ years hands-on experience with coding languages like Python/Scala/R
. Excellent written and spoken communication skill
. Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling
. Hands-on experience building Machine Learning models, tableau/quick sight dashboards and automation through python/VBA
. Deep experience working with AWS technologies and AWS certification is a plus
