For Honeywell Aerospace, our mission is to provide the most advanced aerospace products and services engineered to solve complex problems to make your flying experience faster, safer and more efficient. Title: Lead Designer (UX)
We are looking for a Lead User Experience Designer responsible for engaging with the stakeholders, right from the users to the decision makers, business development teams to understand the needs of the users and customers, the vision of the business and translate it into reality as product and or services. This role will work closely with the offering management, strategy and product line leaders to develop new offerings. In this role, you will work with design research efforts to discover customer needs, high value insights, develop viable & pragmatic business value proposition, as well as conceptualize & realize the concepts into real products.
Responsibilities:
.Facilitate development of the overall vision along with the business, subject matter experts and the development teams, visualize the end-to-end experience scenarios, multiple touchpoints across the entire spectrum.
.Works as zealot for user centric design in this technologically complex ecosystem of influences and constraints.
.Proactively connect with users, user research teams and collaborate with business to understand the overall user needs, business requirements and vision.
.Should collaborate with the offering management stakeholders to co-develop the overall product and/ or service value proposition & product design.
.Effectively map the competitive landscape, benchmark the experiences and spot societal, design and technology trends.
.Conduct research and synthe user insights to build unique & compelling user experiences which can be differentiators to create value.
.Should lead stakeholders to conceptualize, plan and conduct the design workshop
.Identifies and quantifies customer needs through continuous discovery. Defines end-to-end customer journey maps, personas and experience outcomes.
.Creates a culture of rapid idea generation and viability assessment, to shift the boundaries of thinking.
.Understand the user insights and clearly translate them into Experience Outcomes to curate a meaningful and desirable user experience.
.Guide the research team to define, develop and participate in the formative and summative user evaluations, usability testing and develop conclusions and clear cut action points
.Identify design problems and devise elegant and meaningful solutions.
.Facilitate/lead design efforts across global design team members
.Support Program Design Reviews and ensuring program alignment with Enterprise strategies
.Maintain the strong rigor and focus on the user centricity during the entire design and development process and track the overall impact and performance of the user centric design interventions for the before and after scenarios.
.Make informed and pragmatic tradeoffs across design objectives, engineering constraints, and business needs.
.Collaborate with the stakeholders and mentor the team members.
.Timely review the work output of the team members and guide them to push their performance.
.Take smart risks and champion new ideas.

Requirements:
.Post-graduation in interaction design, user experience design from IDC, IITs or equivalent from NID or any other internationally reputed institute
.At least 13-15 years of industry experience in user experience, interaction design and front ending the business teams.
.Ability to work with clients to understand the background and help them define their overall vision and then further break it down smaller tasks.
.Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
.Senior expert level for user-centered design and testing methodologies, usability and accessibility issues.
.Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
.A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design.
.Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders
.Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
.Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
.Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
.Ability to work with program management teams to design the overall project planning and execute the same either in traditional waterfall or agile model.
