Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing
As a Technical Escalation Lead (TEL) on the storage team, you will join a distributed workforce of global peers all working together to address various customer concerns, work directly with our engineering teams to make our products better, and dive deeply into coaching, mentoring, and training with our peers throughout all levels of the Storage support teams.

• We augment your existing skills with courses in Executive Communication strategies, influential conversations, and translating technical objectives into business goals. We want you to be confident, ready, and capable of working through technical challenges whether you’re speaking to a Systems Administrator, or a customer CEO.
• You’ll be getting to know your global peers on a professional level, but also working to become a part of a very close-knit escalations teams. With some of our customer-engagements running 24×7 it’s very normal to have handover calls morning and evening to ensure everyone is on the same page.
• As an entry-level TEL, you’ll be introduced to our engineering teams, have the potential for an on-site rotation to meet the engineers that code VMware software, and be working on a regular basis with both leadership and engineering to discuss code-releases, resiliency efforts, and the ongoing success of our customers while using software like VMware vSAN and other storage virtualization technologies.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis
You will be responsible for the command and control of challenging customers storage technical difficulties as a Technical Escalation Lead on the storage team. Important qualities for this role are being team oriented, highly motivated, eager to always be learning, strong technical problem-solving skills, and most important of all: A customer centric attitude. We practice a culture of accountability with forward-progress as our primary goal.
Your success in this role will pivot around

• Continued education focused on maintaining deep-level expertise in storage technologies for VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
• Being highly communicative and willing to learn new communication methods.
• Being task-oriented, responsible, with a strong focus on project-management fundamentals
• Able to apply logic to a situation and able to work creatively when information may be disjointed, missing, or where the situation is a completely new experience for you
• Provide World Class Support to our customers
• Partner with Engineering teams, field teams, and customer success teams to provide holistic approach to customer situations
• Sharing your knowledge through the case clinics, engineering updates, direct engagement with customers, as well as upward communication to leaders and Executives
