IS Solution Architect

Working with Global Business Service, you will be owning software solution architecture of an application and ensures it is in line with enterprise and data architecture standards. You will be responsible for the design and build, integrity and quality of an IS solution and of associated IS services delivered to Business. Is responsible that the IS solution/service provides the required functionality and meeting the expectations of business and are reliable, maintainable, compliant, and auditable. You will be responsible for governance and continuous improvement of Data Acquisition, Data Modelling, Integration, ETL, Data Product/View creation, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data Ownership and Stewardship and Advanced Data Analytics. Manages/monitors software development and analyses data to continually improve solution. Collaborating with and contributes to project setup and delivery as well as to service operations optimization will be contributing to the overall ABB Data Strategy and should therefore understand all standards and frameworks. Ensuring asset protection through the provision of clean, consistent, quality assured data. Maintaining the integrity of data, stores and searches data and supports presentation of data analysis. This role reports to IS Service Owner.

Your responsibilities

• Accountable in approving, sign-off and build any solution to be implemented on ABB Production environment, within the respective service line, keeping the quality and safety in a controlled manner
• Collaborating with IS Business solution architect to ensures data solution design compatibility for the new and changed IS applications
• Defining the technical IS solution and ensures alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration across IS solution architects and IS delivery units
• Engaging in requirement engineering to decide which requirements are covered by available standard functionalities, for which functionalities enhancements are needed and for which functionalities workarounds are accepted
• Supporting validation and prioritization of incoming business demand in collaboration with the relevant IS Service Owner and/or IS Lead Architect
• Reviewing and signing off the functional and technical use case specifications

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree
• 15+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure, Applications and Security processes and solutions
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Proven track record of technical background in software and/or infrastructure design, development and cloud implementation
• Strong use of design thinking approach to design digital solutions
• Ability to consult service line management with technical advice
• Ability to direct and to drive an external/vendor team of developer
• Proven track record with technical background in Database Management systems, ETL processes and Data Warehousing solutions, knowledge about Cloud and Cloud computing concepts, experience in implementation and/or maintenance of analytical systems, preferably hybrid (Cloud + on-prem)
