Brief Job Description:

Advanced Veterinary Care Foundation (“AVCF”), is a registered company under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 that was set up by Tata Trusts in 2018 to ‘build and operate’ a state-of the art veterinary hospital in Mahalaxmi, Mumbai. AVCF will be responsible for setting up and managing the first of its kind veterinary hospital with the aim of providing ‘approachable expertise’ in the field of veterinary care for small and companion animals. The proposed hospital will be situated at G.B.Sakpal Marg, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai, on land owned by MCGM. The hospital will have comprehensive treatment facilities including 24*7 emergency services, in-patient facilities and diagnostics capability and being a front runner in the field of veterinary care, AVCF aims to be a recruiter of choice amongst professional veterinarians.

The Head of IT would be responsible for managing the hospital’s technology infrastructure, ensuring that the hospital remains at the forefront of ongoing tech to deliver better healthcare, and effectively supporting the hospital’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful running, integration of various IT Assets and Applications at the hospital as well as any automated business systems.
• Works closely with users, steering and advisory committees, and leadership to ensure network, hardware and application requirements. Reviews and evaluates hardware and software alternatives and recommends solutions or options.
• Work as a brand ambassador for computerisation and digitalization and have the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures to ensure the IT security and privacy of the hospital’s data and systems.Ensure the IT security compliances are met as per security policies and reported as required.Ensure that the vendor/partners are correctly upgrading the software, ensuring full control of the data, rights as well as governance rests with the hospital.
• Overseeing the installation, maintenance and repair of all IT equipment & problem resolution related to business application software systems:Directly supervise IT staff, including Help Desk and IS analysts, supporting them in the effective execution of their job responsibilities.Supervise all daily operations of the information services and technology organization, including: help desk; IT operations; network and tele-communications operations; daily coordination with technology and application vendors; and end-user devices and computers
• Preparation of workflow analysis; doing Root Cause Analysis as well as ensuring the bugs/ errors are resolved
• Management of IT delivery projects at scale and running IT operations with committed service levels / SLA.
• Ensure all the staff members are trained on the proper use of all IT systems and equipment, and provide ongoing support and assistance as needed
• Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in the veterinary field and identifying technologies into the hospital’s operations.
• Collaborating with other departments within hospital to identify areas where technology can be used to improve patient care, stream line operations or reduce costs

Job Specifications:

Qualifications: B Tech or Masters in IT(Software, Applications)

Skills/ Competencies:

• Knowledge and understanding of the integration of information systems as it relates to the healthcare field.
• Requires a high level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and demonstrate the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
• Requires a high degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.
• Must have well-developed planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must possess knowledge of security and control frameworks, such as HITRUST and ITIL.

Experience: Min 14 years+ in Hospital’s IT Infrastructure and hospital software/ application (preferably in selection, deployment and roll out of an ERP/ Application/ HMIS)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to ₹1,600,000.00 per year
