Our team focuses on engaging directly with technical leaders, C-level executives and influencers at all levels across the Life Sciences segment and around the world to support a digitally-enhanced, data-driven

healthcare.

In this role, you will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer-facing and technical skills of your team. In addition to technical knowledge ,it is important to have a solid understanding of the Healthcare and Life Sciences domain, including regulatory and compliance guidelines and customer impact. You will need to be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with internal stakeholders like Product team, Business Development and the broader Solutions Architecture Organization. Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features. In this role, you will creatively link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases. You will take a participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology and industry trends (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).

This role will include up to 30% travel.

Responsibilities:

• As a key member of the HCLS Solutions Architecture team, ensure our customers’ success in building and migrating infrastructure, software and services onto the AWS platform
• In partnership with the sales and business development teams, formulate and execute a strategy to drive successful customer outcomes
• Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community, especially those in HCLS
• Create and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices
• Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

Basic qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures in HCLS domain
• 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services
• 7+ year’s design/implementation/consulting experience of large-scale, enterprise applications
• Technical degree or 12 plus years of related work experience
• Strong presentation and written communication skills; high degree of comfort with technical and executive audiences.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, FFIEC, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GxP and FDA.
• Experience with HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare messaging frameworks
• Understanding of clinical trials management and/or real-world evidence platforms
• Working knowledge of cloud native architectures
• Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, etc.) and/or scripting, Infrastructure as Code etc.
• AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other industry certification
• Experience designing, developing, refactoring or operating modern application solutions that take full advantage of the cloud

. Active Github presence (experience in contributing to popular open source projects / sharing re-usable components/projects to community in the form of Github repos)

. Active knowledge sharing with the community in the form of writing (technical blogs) or speaking (in user groups, industry forums and conferences)

• Experience and working knowledge architecting commercial application solutions, with expertise in Mobile/Cloud/Web/System/Data development for Linux/Windows and development on mobile platforms such as iOS/Android. High proficiency in web/scripting languages (NodeJS, JavaScript, Python, Ruby); back-end and system languages (Java, CSharp, C++); mobile languages (Xamarin, Java, Objective-C); IoT technologies (MQTT); enterprise application and database architecture a bonus.
