Job summary
Amazon.com operates in a virtual, global e-Comm environment without boundaries, and operates a diverse set of businesses worldwide, including retail, third party marketplaces, e-Comm platforms, web services for developers. CMT (Competitor Monitoring Team) is an integral part of WW pricing org enabling Amazon’s pricing strategy and operations. The team’s primary role is to provide on-time and accurate competitive pricing inputs to help make great pricing decisions. We build and execute scalable & efficient processes to ensure Amazon’s price competitiveness. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and Amazon’s topline & profitability.

This position requires a proactive, autonomous, out of the box thinker and motivated individual with effective, professional communication. It will involve managing a team of program managers and communicating with leaders of multiple teams – product, operations and technology teams to define road map, launch & scale new programs, implementing changes to processes, clearly communicating expectations to stakeholders. He/she will be the strategic point of contact to operations, business and tech teams of Amazon worldwide for specific programs and must therefore be comfortable and confident liaising with remote global teams in business and technology at senior leadership levels.
Key job responsibilities
. Manage a team of highly skilled program managers executing wide variety of programs across CMT
. Liaise between various internal technical teams, business teams, operations team and leadership to drive discussions for the execution of complex projects across multiple product families.
. Lead the change management process for specific processes, including definition of roadmap and strategic planning for programs
. Act as a thought leader in defining success criteria and understand business needs of partner teams to build solutions in an ever-changing business environment
. Prepare strategic recommendations, roadmaps, and program updates to senior management for the organization.
. Identify and analyze data to isolate issues, develop solutions, and prioritize opportunities for servicing our partners.
. Make recommendations that balance short team needs against the long-term business benefit.
. Balance competing and conflicting priorities across teams and escalate effectively when needed to advocate for the needs of the organization, even if it may seem uncomfortable
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. Minimum 5 + years relevant experience in managing programs and projects that require business and cross functional interactions
. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders.
. Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
. Highly analytical and inclined towards a data driven approach towards problem solving
. Proven history of delivering results while owning complex cross-functional launches partnering with central teams
. Experience in people management and demonstrated ability to hire and develop program managers and people leaders
. Skilled in collaborative management environment, succeeding through regular meetings and clear formal and informal communication with members across functions
. Excellent written and spoken communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Masters Degree/MBA from reputed institution
. Hands on experience in Retail, eCommerce related
. Certification in Project Management/process excellence (PMP, Six Sigma)
