Applied Materials Looking for IT Project/Program Management at Bengaluru, Karnataka Full Time

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Project and portfolio management processes in an IT organization

Leads project managers about the Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Methodology.

Leads development and execution of PPM strategy and technical roadmap. Ensuring PPM best practices are followed and adopted.

Provide guidance on Agile / Scrum and Waterfall methodologies

Ensure Program and projects are complaint with the organizational process

Provide project accounting and analytics capabilities to improve overall cost tracking.

Able to analyze the PMO benchmarks, and Project/Compliance metrics and report it to management

Directs execution and guides others in reviewing and monitoring complex projects to ensure continuous, effective performance; determines modifications as needed.

Support multiple projects in managing Statement of Work (SOW) Contracts and work with all relevant stakeholders to manage SOWs and report to the management.

Conduct appropriate reviews to ensure documentation and solutions are of acceptable quality.

Plan and manage projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with established processes and guidelines and guardrails of scope, timeline, budget and quality

Education

Bachelor’s Degree, Masters’ degree will be preferred

Skills / experience

Program, project management certification and experience, PMI certifications, SCRUM Master certification.

10+ years of project management and/or PMO support for IT projects / technology companies.

Experienced with industry-standard project management methodologies and tools like Microsoft Project Server.

Experience managing projects/program financials.

Intermediate advance level skills in Microsoft Excel. Power Point and other MS office tools

Mostly work schedule will be supporting US time zone in the evenings for meetings.

Experience in facilitating meetings with stakeholders and partners.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written communication

Strong presentation skills – crisp, concise effective communication to executive management
