Job Description:
What You’ll Be Doing
Service Desk Associate Manager will monitor the day to day operations and oversee the staff that typically will be on event management system. Be on floor support when warranted and also be bridge a between Tier 2 and Tier 1 teams transferring knowledge and give regular training to the team to ensure the team is up to date on their process and technical knowledge.
What We Are Looking For
Typically requires a 4 year degree and 4-5 years of experience or a 2 year degree and equivalent related experience
Should have minimum 3 years experience as a supervisor / lead or relevant experience as people manager
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business, technical support or production team(s)
Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager
Typically does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised
Accountable for the results of medium-sized routine support or production operations teams
Solves problems based on practice and precedent
Trains team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations
Has no discretion to vary from established procedures
Works under close supervision
Hands-on experience on Event Management is added advantage and any monitoring tools like Nagios, VictorOps, New Relic…
Hands on experience with ticketing tools. (added advantage if worked on JIRA & ServiceNow)
Good communication skills particularly writing skills and good email etiquette
Good Analytical skills, ability to search and find solutions and think out of the box
Should be ready to work on a 24X7 environment with weekends & night shifts on rotational basis
Any prior application support will be an added advantage particularly supporting eCommerce portals and ERP system like Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Document the new processes and procedures as we learn
Should be open to new challenges and be ready to expand the roles & responsibilities
