The Position
Principle Pre-Sales Database Solution Consultant/ Architect
Ashnik is looking for a passionate leader for its Presales and Solutioning team. You will be responsible for pre-sales through architecting solutions based on open-source database technologies like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, on platforms like Kubernetes, Cloud, and automation.
This role will involve customer interactions for presentations during pre-sales cycle, preparing and defending proposals, devising solution and implementation. You would be the face of the company making presentations at industry events, holding workshops and bringing new insights to the technical teams.
This role requires high degree of self-initiative, working with diversified teams and working with customers spread across Southeast Asia and India region. This role requires you to be pro-active in communicating with customers and internal teams about industry trends, technology development and creating thought leadership.
Qualification and Experience required:
Ideal candidate will preferably have 15 years’ of experience in IT industry in various functions : implementation, solution architecting and pre-sales role
Minimum 5 years of experience in architecting and deploying database solution on cloud platform is highly desirable
Hands on experience in PostgreSQL and data analytics technologies such as Elastic stack , Kafka , Prometheus , Grafana , Spark other technologies is desirable
Hands on experience in implementation of NoSQL databases – MongoDB, Cassandra is highly desired
Very good understanding of database concepts and internals of any one RDBMS
Cloud Native services on AWS, Azure , GCP is advantages
Experience in virtualization and Linux environment
Experience in leading Solutions and Pre-Sales team is highly desirable
Experience of enterprise architecture landscape
Skills Required:
Togaf certification, Cloud certification
Proven ability to lead and facilitate executive meetings and workshops
Good presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate technical concepts in a simple and concise manner.
Passion for open-source technologies
Understanding of sale cycle and ability to work with sales team.
Proactive and positive attitude towards sale engagement
Good understanding of business processes specially in BFSI segment
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is to drive Ashnik’s services business along with sales team
Lead the presales and solutions team and be first point of contact for all pre-sales engagements
Prepare proposals, sizing, PoCs and respond to RFPs
Develop detailed solutions documents for implementation team and be an escalation point for delivery team
Make presentations of the solutions, technologies, and their use cases
Develop and nurture technical relationship with customers through thought leadership engagement
Engage with technology vendors and bring insights of product development and new features back to Ashnik team, ensure enablement of Ashnik’s pre-sales and technical team
Evaluate emerging technologies for solution and services that help organization to grow
Create visibility of solutions developed through pre-sales engagement to internal team and develop case studies
Participate in workshops, events and industry to present solutions
Contribute to blogs and videos for Ashnik publications
