ABOUT THE ROLE
The learning and development strategy in IT continues to be an important priority area to support successful delivery of the IT Strategy ensuring the IT Workforce has skills for now and the future.
As a team we work directly with the HR and IT Leadership Team and senior sponsors ensuring that the work we do in IT has direct and valued business impact, and is an integral part of the HR People Plan. This includes an agreed set of strategic capabilities linked to the IT2025 Strategy, a successful IT Academy in Degreed, award winning L&D learning events, and on-going leadership and coaching programmes.
We are looking for an experienced learning and development professional to join our IT L&D team and continue to drive for global excellence in how we diagnose and deliver great 3 E’s learning and development opportunities to the IT population. As the perfect candidate, you will be comfortable with gathering, using and presenting data to measure effectiveness and be able to make data driven decisions.
You will need to be enthusiastic, creative, able to work in a matrix engaging with our colleagues inside and outside the IT function and representing the team. You will have the ability to manage collaborators at varying levels in the organisation. You must be able to get close to and understand the IT organisation and strategy and be able to both support and challenge approaches.
You will own the IT Academy in Degreed and have a leading role in taking the strategic capabilities forward into 2023 delivering the next wave of 3 E’s learning solutions.

Key accountabilities:
Oversee the plans for the IT Strategic Capabilities in 2023 working with the in-country T&D partners in Chennai and Guadalajara (with support from a project manager).
Act as L&D lead on a number of strategic capabilities working directly with the subject matter experts to develop 3 E’s learning aligned to the required level and audience.
Oversee the running of our Experience IT program.
Own the L&D communication plan, ensuring we have regular and planful communications across key topic areas.
Act as the learning and development SME for the IT HR team providing support and guidance to them and their customer groups (which may include presenting to leadership teams).
Advising on the technical learning and development available for IT colleagues.
Own and continue to develop the IT Academy in Degreed ensuring it continues as the go-to space for learning for the IT population.
Set clear success measures and track and analyse supporting data to enable data driven decisions.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
Experience in learning and development diagnosis and delivery
Proven work experience in a highly collaborative matrix environment, with a focus towards delivering positive business results
Experience in engaging with, and managing, multiple collaborators and subject matter experts
Project and programme management skills to manage and deliver multiple pieces of work simultaneously
Ability to identify and drive improvements, using innovative thinking and internal and external insights and data
Ability to engage with external teams and represent the best interest of IT in negotiation deals with technology vendors and third parties.
Effective communication skills and previous experience building communication strategies.
Ability to prioritise, plan workload and work independently.
Desirable:
Experience operating across business functions and geographies in large, complex and sometimes uncertain environments
Experience working in a global business area
Previous experience with learning Management systems, particularly developing and managing content on the Degreed Platform.
Awareness and understanding of IT skills and capabilities.
