We are looking for Team Lead – IT Infrastructure Operations to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Gurgaon and Bangalore, IN.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager this role will lead the Infrastructure Operations team. You will be responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of infrastructure monitoring, incident response and management. Will be responsible for determining and managing the team KPI’s, incident response SLA’s, alert hygiene, and performing incident root cause analysis. This is a hands-on Senior technical role and at busy times you will be required to assist with the team’s workload.
We are looking for a confident team lead with proven experience in managing and delivering services to a global business within agreed SLA’s and budgets. The Infrastructure Operations Lead will require excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Managing a skilled operations team to support the IT infrastructure in operations, change management, and maintain ongoing improvements of all technologies.
Analyse the teams’ workload and activity to drive efficiency and focus on SLA’s and KPI’s.
Ensure best practices are adhered to for incident and request management with periodic reviews to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Work with the Infrastructure Services team to manage, enhance and maintain policies, processes, and procedures.
Excellent hands-on skills to get into the process deeply ability to identify the gaps and suggest improvement plans to customer.
Manage the team in supporting foundational components and providing high SLA through proactive planning and operational excellence.
Maintain and improve the 24/7 Operations Centre initiatives.
Review and improve established operating policies and approaches for the Operations Centre.
Generate reports for services availability, uptime, and adherence to standard operating procedures and SLAs etc.
Continual service improvement through best practice and new and innovative technologies.
Monitor projects/transactions and provide qualitative/constructive feedback to the team members.
Should be able to motivate, develop and mentor team members in a dynamically changing environment.

What will you contribute?
Degree educated (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related subject.
At least 10 years’ experience working in enterprise-class environments.
Proven experience of a wide range of server hardware and virtualisation technologies including HP, Cisco, Dell, VMWare, Hyper-V and emerging technologies.
High proficiency in server technologies and operating systems including Microsoft and Linux.
High proficiency in NetApp and EMC storage technology.
High proficiency in monitoring solutions – Microsoft Systems Centre Operations Manager, HP SIM, Cisco UCS Manager, VMWare vCOps.
High proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, DFS.
High proficiency in backup technologies.
Strong knowledge of capacity management.
Proven experience of server performance management.
Strong knowledge of security in relation to server, applications, data and databases.

Self-motivated and able to work unaided on assigned tasks.

Total relevant experience 12-16 years.
At least 4 years’ experience as a people manager.
Extensive experience working within ITIL aligned Service Delivery organization.
At least 10 years of proven experience of managing, supporting, and monitoring of Windows (2008/2012/2016/2019), VMware, Citrix, or Linux server platform.
Designing and writing support processes, working, and reporting on Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Proven high proficiency of operational data centre management on a global level.
Extensive experience with working within a global team.
Managing and monitoring server hardware (HP, Cisco, Dell).
Root cause analysis for infrastructure issues.
