We are looking for Team Lead – IT Infrastructure Operations to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Gurgaon and Bangalore, IN.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager this role will lead the Infrastructure Operations team. You will be responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of infrastructure monitoring, incident response and management. Will be responsible for determining and managing the team KPI’s, incident response SLA’s, alert hygiene, and performing incident root cause analysis. This is a hands-on Senior technical role and at busy times you will be required to assist with the team’s workload.
We are looking for a confident team lead with proven experience in managing and delivering services to a global business within agreed SLA’s and budgets. The Infrastructure Operations Lead will require excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.

Summary
The IT Infrastructure Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the IT infrastructure operations within the organization. He/she is expected to have proven experience in managing, delivering IT Infrastructure services to a global business within agreed SLAs, and budgets. And must have excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
High level responsibilities
Manage a skilled operations team spread across the globe
Plan team members’ shifts and on call support for each technology team
On an ongoing basis, drive compliance to SLAs, KPIs, servers patching, operational processes etc.
Put governance processes and controls in place and ensure compliance
Identify, own, track and mitigate risks that could potentially impact IT services, compliance etc.
Ensure compliance to IT Infrastructure daily health checks and reporting
Identify, own, track and execute service improvement action items including automation that could make people more efficient, make Infra more stable, reduce incidents, improve compliance, reduce risks etc.
Resolve day to day operational issues faced by the team
Support teams in prioritizing work (operations & project work etc.)
Join major incident / outage bridge calls and drive teams to restore IT services asap during local business hours extendable by couple of hours before and after local business hours. This may be occasionally required on weekends and public holidays too.
Be available on-call as per the roster on a rotational basis to resolve P1 / P2 outages
People and Infrastructure capacity management
Analyse the teams’ workload and drive efficiencies
Document operational processes and/or enhance existing processes
People skill development and performance management
Motivate, develop, and mentor team members in a dynamically changing environment
20% hands-on production support technical tasks must be handled
Publish monthly operations performance report

Experience must include:
At least 12-18 years of work experience in IT Infrastructure support including as a individual contributor, lead, and in operations management roles
At least 8 years of proven hands-on technical experience in delivering and supporting Windows, VMWare Server infrastructure (2008/2012/2016/2019) and 2-3 years on Citrix
At least 4 years hands-on technical experience in supporting at least 2000+ server environment
At least 4 years’ experience in leading IT infrastructure support team of at least 7 FTEs including as a direct people manager
At least 5 years’ experience working in ITIL aligned Service Delivery organizations
Proven experience of delivering infrastructure process efficiencies and improvements
Proven high proficiency of operational data centre management on a global level
Designing and writing support processes, working, and reporting on Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
At least 5 years’ experience in working with global teams
Managing and monitoring server hardware
Driving major incident / outage bridge calls and resolution
Performing outage incidents root cause analysis and implementing preventive actions
Experience in IT Infra capacity management
Proven experience in stakeholder management
