Hybrid Working

Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, anchor, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:

The Controls Testing & Execution role works across 1LoD Business Units and Functions providing management with informed opinion on the effectiveness of controls they operate to mitigate material risks. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring that the reviews performed align with the methodology requirements. The role also requires performing QA on Assurance reviews performed by testing teams as per CT&E Methodology and SOx Automated Business Controls (ABC) per the SOx methodology.
The role also requires supporting senior management on annual planning and ongoing progress on Quality via key reporting on functional KPIs. Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to work in partnership with CT&E team and management to ensure Controls Testing is undertaken efficiently, and to ensure that the methodology is fully understood.

What will you be doing

. Perform and drive QA for Assurance reviews as per plan
. Support senior management in annual planning exercise and provide continuous monitoring support to CT&E team and management
. Support key KPIs and SLA monitoring for CAS
. Land key messages and agree issues with internal stakeholders
. Be accountable for the accuracy and completeness of the reporting data
. Develop and maintain relationships with internal Assurance stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

. Ability to take on work items and deliver by acting as an individual contributor
. Analytical approach and proven ability to manage issues through to resolution
. Understanding of Software development, various testing during software development life cycle
. A proven team leader and people manager with the ability to deliver through others even when the people may not report into the individual
. Strong analytical abilities, with a methodical approach, sound judgement and a close attention to detail
. Extensive project management experience and strong organisational skills
. Proven stakeholder management skills – setting and proactively managing expectations in challenging environments and
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Skills that will help you in the role:

. Undergraduate degree or relevant business experience
. knowledge and experience in one or more of the following fields IT audit, Risk and Control, IT security
. Experience of working in a Bank or Financial Services
. Advanced Excel skills
. Excellent understanding of risk and control assessment techniques and
. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work in a matrix organisation.
. Specialist Risk and/or Control-related qualification – formal accreditation / qualification relating to audit, risk and/or control/QA etc. and
. 4-8 years of testing experience of Operational / Sox/ITGC/Cyber/Application Controls
. Hands on experience into IS Audits / IT Assessments and GRC (Governance, Risk & Controls)
. Knowledge or IS/IT Risks & Controls and respective Standards / Frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ITIL)
. Practical experience in managing Technology Risks & Controls in Banking/ NBFC domains
. Practical experience in design and development of SharePoint or similar tools
