Introduction:
Network Tools Engineering Lead is accountable for the engineering, development and support of number of key services within the Bank used for monitoring and management of our network systems. This is a leadership role with people management responsibility for a diverse team of talented engineers within the Network Tools Engineering team.
What will you be doing?
Successfully manage the DevOps/SRE model within the team to deliver stable 24/7 services and platforms
Enable successful transition to the target state by structuring the product backlog into features and releases, understanding and managing inter and intra product dependencies.
Build and manage multiyear product roadmaps aligning them to overall strategy.
Provide highly visible leadership for major incidents and operational issues impacting the business, including oversight of recovery/resolution, impact assessment/mitigation and post-mortem/action plans.
Act as a Continuous Service Improvement champion, embracing innovation, automation and process optimisation to exceed business expectations through improved service quality and operational efficiency.
What we’re looking for:
Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the capability of creating, leading and working in teams
Ability to manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at Senior Management level
Ability to produce engaging written communications at senior leadership level
Extensive experience in Chairing meetings up to a senior level; being a strong chairperson that achieves the purpose and agenda items of the meetings.
Excellent knowledge and experience in design, deployment and support APM Tools and monitoring systems at a large enterprise.
Experience managing and developing high-performing global teams
Strong knowledge of incident, problem, change, capacity, resilience, monitoring and automation, with a proven track-record of delivering improvements to the overall stability, quality and efficiency of service
Skills that will help you in the role:
Knowledge of industry standard tools for monitoring like Appdynamics, Aternity, ITRS, Splunk and chef.
Knowledge on application servers like Tomcat, Jboss, WebSphere and WebLogic.
Good SQL Skills and knowledge on Database like Oracle and SQl server.
Knowledge on continuous integration and continuous Deployment tools like Git and Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in Linux based systems, with strong scripting ability (Bash, Python), Good Knowledge on Cron Jobs and shell scripting.
Good to Have-Knowledge on AWS, Azure, Apass V3 and Apaas V4.
Experience with Integration of multiple toolsets.
Strong problem solving skills and ability to multi-task.
