The BI Analyst is a key role in the Mobility function, responsible for designing creating, reporting and preparing analysis in support of a core business function. This role will enhance the value add of Mobility to the business by defining and shaping our people analytics and how they are managed and measured.
The BI Analyst will provide quantitative and qualitative analytics to make recommendations, influence key business decisions and monitor and assess how our Mobility tools are used and leveraged to improve processes across BCG. More broadly, this role is also responsible for creating new analysis to assess Mobility operations and business performance and realization of our employee value proposition
The BI Analyst will work closely with Mobility and cross functionally with broader HR, Finance and IT to define and create meaningful reporting to evaluate operational efficiency, business impact, employee experience all of which will influence strategic decisions influencing change. Success will require digging deep into our complicated data structure across HR, mobility, and finance to help us develop insight and improve our adoption of mobility platforms and reporting capabilities and our people’s experience; gather and collate data to report on the usage of mobility platforms usage across BCG’s global offices, and understand how different users are using (interacting with our digital platform differently) the tool differently; develop insight into the teams we are helping make diverse career choices using mobility, and how effectively we are creating the best teams for our clients; support regular reporting on our processes and tools, and drive ad hoc analyses to further their development.

Examples of common activities include:
Meeting with a cross-functional Agile team to define business needs and supporting infrastructure
Defining and developing security models such as row-level security and tokenization
Proactively raising data issues and taking actions to remediate
Supporting users in identifying the correct data sets and providing easy to use tools to pull data
Creating and establishing design standards/ methodologies to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, fata flows, and data storage
Developing tools to facilitate data integration, analytics, data cleaning/ transformation
Understanding and tracking processes across different offices; tracking and managing change requests from stakeholders
Defining and developing metrics/ OKRs for tracking success of the mobility tools and usage of features across offices as BCG.
YOU’RE GOOD AT
You have excellent analytical skills and an ability to create and build reporting and analysis from scratch, working with global stakeholders to define the business need.
Building relationships will also be critical to your success – strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. You need to be able to effectively tailor your communications since we work across all levels of our organization, from C-level and senior leaders to local teams doing the work.
You need to be a problem solver and change driver – we don’t just fix the immediate ask, but take ambiguous issues, break them down to understand the root cause, and then design an approach and solution that not only adopts outside thinking, but also brings stakeholders along with us.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years relevant work experience in data management and reporting including process design, data analysis and relational databases
Experience should demonstrate an understanding of developing analytics which provide business intelligence
Skilled at data munging and identifying relationships between data and pattern recognition
Can liaise and sync business requirements and stakeholder needs to explain data and drive change management decisions using metrics
Experience and advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Powerpoint
Knowledge of Tableau/ Power BI, Alteryx, VBA preferred
Experience with analytics tools, such as WalkMe, Firebase, Google Analytics, heap, etc is a plus
Basic familiarization with databases and data structures (Familiarity with Oracle SQL is a plus)
Understanding of people processes at BCG
Experience working across cultures and time zones
Strong adaptability and flexibility in a fast-changing environment
YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role is part of the Global Mobility Team and works closely with the Regional and Local Mobility Teams as well as the Mobility Product Owner and delivery teams and BCG’s Global Finance to drive design and implementation of new reporting and analysis. You will also work closely with other functional team including broader HR and Finance to understand and leverage multiple sources of data.
