Partner Services Group (PSG) is an integral part of BCG’s worldwide Finance organization and provides a wide range of services to our Managing Directors and Partners (MDPs). PSG manages a variety of dimensions related to MDP evaluation, compensation, and equity programs.
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer, who will be primarily responsible for quality assurance activities for Operations group of PSG function. You will work closely with your agile squad team members to understand business and non-functional requirements, create, and execute test cases, and track defects. You should be detail oriented, technology aware, and self-motivated.
YOU’RE GOOD AT
Understanding and implementing best-fit approaches of testing to ensure that current & new developing applications and features work as expected.
Performing system, integration and regression testing to ensure all system components work successfully together.
Problem solving skills with ability to think creative ways to assure minimal defect leakage to production.
Applying permutation & combination, boundary value analysis etc. to test large data sets with optimal effort and maximum coverage.
Reporting & tracking software defects and working with development team to resolve critical bugs and bring them to closure.
Collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to identify testing requirements that help define the development of software test plans, test strategies, and test scripts to ensure a quality product.
Being a team player who communicates positively and proactively within your Agile team and across the organization.
Working collaboratively in virtual teams and someone who is self-starter and highly proactive.
Applying Agile product delivery methodologies and principles, including work estimation techniques.
Learning new tools, technologies & processes with a high degree of competence.
Working with multicultural distributed team located in different time zones.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
5-7 years of experience of various types of software testing – functional testing, system testing, integration testing, API testing and regression testing on cloud-based systems.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, required. Major in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field encouraged.
Hands-on experience in writing test scenarios, test cases, test execution and defect reporting and managing them on Zephyr or other Test Management System.
Experience in testing both Desktop & Web Applications.
Experience in testing microservices would be preferred.
Experience in SQL/Java/Python is preferred.
Experience using test automation suites such as SmartBear – TestComplete, Selenium, Postman, SOAP etc., is preferred.
Experience in working with distributed Agile development teams.
Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Testing Life Cycle.
