Position Summary
This role will contribute to the design and maintenance of the IT General Computing Control (ITGCC) SOX program at BMS Hyderabad. This position is critical in supporting the IT governance processes established to manage IT risk and, ensure critical controls are implemented and operating as expected. Our purpose is to monitor compliance to evolving global GxP and SOX regulatory expectations through CSV & Compliance monitoring. Our focus areas include SDLC, IT Service Management processes, Validation Services, Audit, and CAPAs.

Key Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs) in the design, assessment, implementation, and monitoring of IT controls.
Apply knowledge of IT SOX, ICFR, COSO and baseline understanding of business process controls.
Experience in performing IT SOX testing, including ITGCs, and Report Testing.
Perform the IT control testing and assessments of control design and operating effectiveness, as well as remediation testing where applicable.
Maintain accurate and detailed control testing documentation of testing procedures, findings, and recommendations.
Maintain and update process narratives related to SOX IT areas that include logical access, change management, computer operations, and systems development lifecycle.
Perform an initial evaluation of SOC 1/ISAE 3402 reports and provide summarized results for review and approval.
Ensure that identified deficiencies or key observations are assessed for severity, remediated, and reported.
Contribute to the enhancement of the IT Compliance Framework Monitoring & Assessment program, documentation, processes, and procedures to drive up standards.
Assist in response to internal and external inspection requests and observations (CAPAs) where IT Compliance framework and/or 3rd Party monitoring/governance involvement may be required.
Assist in the development and implementation of effective tools and technology to support the function.
Build positive and collaborative business relationships with stakeholders to support effective and efficient management of the SOX-IT program.
Maintain awareness of Culture of Excellence across BMS.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Quality or Science or equivalent experience.
Industry experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in IT and/or Quality Assurance preferably based at a bio/pharmaceutical company.
Ability to use Microsoft Excel to execute and document SOX IT testing procedures (i.e. knowledge of excel formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
Possesses strong organization skills to manage a large volume of testing requests and provide accurate status reporting.
Demonstrates openness to learning and developing. Takes a responsibility for their own development and growth.
Explains own work clearly and confidently.
Demonstrates awareness of functional business context and the impact on their own work.
Collects and reviews data sources to provide a sound recommendation. Identified basic implication from a logical analysis of a routine situation or issue. Determines most appropriate solution.
Demonstrates an understanding of factors driving team performance and how they contribute to the team’s overall success.
Develops an understanding of other’s views and builds rapport with stakeholders.
Openly considers new ways and solutions to enhance their own work and offers new ideas/continuous improvement.
