About this role
Accountable for ensuring designs in Finance systems are in line with business requirements, our Finance Systems strategy, and meeting BT Technology standards
Accountable for coordinating with Business Global Process Owners to ensure alignment between processes and design
Escalation on any technical issues in the relevant specialist area/ profession, providing technical guidance to ASG and third parties
Reviews and approves technical design documents
Ensure the Architectural Conformance Framework is followed for projects
Ensure Security Polices are met in all designs
Defines, owns & creates practices, tools & professional standards and frameworks and continuously evolve based on business need or industry changes
Operates in a highly complex and ambiguous environment across the company and wider technical industry and / or specific customer sector.
Liaises with Global Process Owners ensuring business needs are met through assurance of the design.
Applies specialist technical expertise to develop and advise approach on a range of complex, high impact and high-risk customer solutions and define the architectural strategy for their particular expert domain.
Collaborative partner – You build internal and external relationships, collaborating both operationally and technically to deliver business results.
You’ll have the following responsibilities

5 years of SAP Finance System Experience in an implementation role
SAP ERP FI-CO Financial Accounting FI-GL (General Ledger) FI-AP (Accounts Payable) FI-AR (Accounts Receivable) FI-AA (Asset Accounting)
SAP ERP FI-CO Controlling CO-OM-CCA (Cost Centre Accounting) CO-OM-CEL (Cost Element Accounting) CO-OM-OPA (Internal Order Accounting) CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) experience
Experience of other SAP modules/technologies
Experience of working on non-SAP systems including reporting and billing
SAP S/4 Hana Implementation experience
Working knowledge of Ariba, Concur, GRC, MDG, BW, BPC and their interactions with SAP ERP
Good presentation skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience of working in teams
Showcased expertise on a project or a specific piece of work or led a project outside of the core areas of your expertise
At least 2 full project life cycle (Finance)
Proven experience in SAP implementations for finance
Collaborated on a new project with a recognised expert
Communicated BT’s business strategy to multiple audiences
You’ll have the following skills & experience
Taught your team how to do their roles more effectively
Managed headcount and departmental costs when cost was under pressure
Undertook a teambuilding exercise and measured your team’s motivation & feedback
Managed a low performing team to a successful outcome
Made decisions in ambiguous situations using incomplete information or differing opinions (eg divided team loyalties or unclear deliverables).
Aligned project plans and objectives with BT strategy and values
Actively participated in strategy setting sessions
To suit the needs of a customer, colleague or client; moved outside of expected process or practice
Been a spokesperson for others on issues of integrity.
