Delivering world-class IT support to our teams of engineers and designers, you will form part of a dedicated and passionate global IT team. Managing up to 5 team members across our Dubai, Mumbai, Riyadh and Hong Kong offices, you will have the opportunity to utilise your practical IT skills along with taking on IT services improvement projects to ensure only the best IT services are delivered to the organisation.
Acting as a ‘doer’ you will be assuming a key role of in effect Account Manager for the local offices to deliver continuous improvements locally alongside influencing the priorities of the wider Global IT delivery teams.

What will I be doing?
Manage and lead IT Day to day support for the business unit aligned to the global IT strategy and technology roadmap
Ensure that all Global and local IT policies and procedures are complied with and participate in audits as necessary
Manage and mentor our IT Support Officers across the region and ensure they are getting necessary training and support
Support the growth of the practice as we enter into new markets or carry out acquisitions such as recent ones in Indonesia and Australia.
Represent the whole IT portfolio (which is varied and includes our business systems such as HR, Finance and CRM) to the Business unit
Manage the local IT equipment within the practice lifecycle (such as PC’s)
Manage contracts and build good relationships with local suppliers of IT and telephony services to ensure we are receiving good service and costs are managed
Manage the regional IT budgets with monthly reporting.
Ensure that regular training is provided on our IT systems to the business unit
Work with the business unit Leadership Team to evaluate IT solutions that drive the business unit (and in turn the practice) ensuring compliance with and alignment to the wider IT strategy.
Represent the Business Unit in the Global IT Management and operations meetings to shape the products we deliver balancing global need against local nuances.
What will my day look like?
30% day to day support – ensuring support tickets are being resolved within the set SLA, acting as an escalation point and where appropriate dealing with support tickets.
Direct responsibility for all IT Systems provided by head office and Service specifically: communications (switch board),
Wi-Fi, Email, Video Conferencing, Desktop Collaboration Tools, Telephones), devices and applications (Standardized
Desktop, Virus Protection, Engineering Systems), infrastructure (cabling floor boxes, LAN/WAN, Systems hosting,
Logon (AD), Network Services, Remote Working, Storage, Backup, Print), Service Desk (IT Helpdesk, Local 2nd Line Support, 3rd Line System/Application Support), IT hardware purchase & preparation for use.
30% looking at how to improve both the technology and solutions and improving the service working with key stakeholders in the business unit.

As an experienced IT Support professional, it is expected that you can demonstrate…
5+ years management experience of leading an IT Infrastructure & Desktop team, and overall, around 10 years of total experience
Educational Qualification – B.Sc. (IT) & MCA or B.Tech (Computer Science)
Experience of handling local & remote teams, ideally with exposure to countries in the Asia & Middle East regions (e.g., India, Dubai, Hong Kong etc.)
Knowledge and awareness of IT legislative nuances in difference geographies and jurisdictions (e.g., Middle East, China etc.)
Practical skills combined with a deep commercial awareness
Fluency in English
Strong leadership/mentoring and decision-making skills
Understanding of complex information and requirements
Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Good prioritisation skills and be flexible enough to adapt plans
Ability to explain complex systems in simple terms without the use of acronyms
