The Global IT Testing Lead is accountable to lead and provide direction on testing strategy and execution activities across application portfolios including but not limited to ERP/SAP, Functions, Trading, Digital, Supply Chain, etc. This position enables the portfolios by ensuring a strategic view of the testing capability to ensure organization standards and requirements are met and quality is intact. This role includes key strategy and execution activities across testing service design and delivery, capability maturity, budget and value, talent development, tools and architecture, and sourcing. Key Accountabilities
Provide thought leadership to develop the strategic direction and approach for test strategy, design and execution efforts across application portfolios including ERP/SAP, Functions, Trading, Digital, Supply Chain, etc. including related process maturity and resource planning. Define and execute new quality engineering and assurance capabilities, operating model, budgets and value, talent requirements, tools and architecture, and sourcing approaches. Assess the testing execution maturity across application portfolios and propose a direction to build and mature it to improve quality objectives. Determine capacity and knowledge needed to deliver upon the global portfolio. Baseline cost structure and performance metrics related to testing execution activities and determine strategic actions to decrease costs and improve efficiency. Oversee and provide guidance to the development and execution of test plans and activities. Act as a strategic guide and leader to the team globally, including developing and mentoring employees around the world to ensure key competencies are available and developed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum of six years of related work experience Other minimum qualifications may apply Preferred Qualifications 12+ years of IT and business / industry work experience managing large IT deployments / capabilities, or services. 5+ years of people management experience. Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on leading through ambiguity and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders; ability to lead global teams. Strong conceptual thinking; ability to establish and communicate a compelling vision and apply business needs with resource requirements in an effective manner as an input to near- and long-term requirements. Ability to work across multiple groups and geographies; effective in operating in a global environment. Ability to communicate effectively in all settings, including sensitive and intense situations, by tactfully responding to requests and thoughtfully persuading others to adopt ideas. Experience in contract negotiation and management of vendors.
