Citi Hiring For VP – OTC Derivatives IT Quality Manager at India ,  Full Time

The IT Quality Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional teams for the Oasys suite of application for OTC Derivatives Trades Processing, Confirmations, Settlements and Margins. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within the OTC Derivatives back-office functions. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining & improving product quality across all Oasys streams
• Responsible for managing metrics relating to QA goals.
• Plays a key role in the development cycle to oversee test case design, documentation, execution, recording
• Manage and drive continuous improvement, bi-weekly releases and test automation efforts
• Tracks change related issues in production and tracks closure via updates in regression suite and test approach
• Collaborates with BA and Dev to maintain automated test suite, tracks in-sprint automation
• Participates in Agile methodology and Scrum processes such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives with the team
• Work with Devops to automate qa gates, if necessary help automate the pipeline.
• Motivates team and helps develop new ideas for process improvement

• Performs initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production. Testing specialists who work with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach. Responsibilities may also include software quality assurance testing.
• Manages multiple IT Quality teams or an IT Quality functional area (depending on of business).
• Resolves complex and highly variable issues.
• Analyzes trends at an organizational level to improve processes follows and analyzes industry trends.
• Develops and designs standards and procedures ensures that they are adhered to throughout the software development life cycle.
• Manages organizational process change.
• Develops and implements methods for cost, effort and milestones of IT Quality activities. Strives for continuous improvements and streamlining of processes.
• Ensures consistency and quality of processes across the organization. Exhibits in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas.
• Requires in-depth understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality and has basic commercial awareness.
• Evaluates subordinates performance and makes decisions on pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc.
• Uses evaluative judgment in complicated or novel situations uses multiple sources of information.
• Impacts IT Quality through delivery of end results and contribution to planning, finances/budget and formulation of policies.
• Responsible for budgeting, project estimates, task management & balancing prioritization across multiple streams of development
• Responsible for people management, mentoring and career development process for team including delivering performance review, training, recruiting.
• Collaborates with local and global stakeholders like QA team, production support team, environment management team, DBA team, etc. to ensure project stability and productivity.
• Responsible for handling day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
• Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years IT Testing experience required
• Excellent knowledge of software testing techniques and testing tools
• Knowledge of any well-known software development and testing life-cycle methodology
• Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence
• Technical skills required – SQL, Linux, Shell Scripts/Python, DevOps concepts, BDD – Cucumber

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
