Role purpose
Interaction with customers in English languages and understand the service and business impact.
Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing of network LAN/WAN infrastructure components.
Actively owns and takes responsibility for engineering issues and queries, including the most complex, ensuring that the answers provided are consistent with the overall strategy
Key accountabilities
Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
Identify, diagnoses, and resolves network problems.
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, load balancers and wireless.
Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
Arranging scheduled upgrades.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)
Ticket SLAs and KPIs are achieved
Escalation procedures, policies and working practices are adhered to.
All records relating to Service Requests, Incidents, Problems and Knowledge Management are completed accurately and within agreed timeframe
Projects are delivered in line with project quality standards.

Skills & Experience
Should have 5+ years of good amount of network engineering experience, ideally in a large enterprise, telecommunications or related industry.
Specialised in supporting one of the Cisco architectures with a broad technical competency in supporting the following: Cisco switching, routing & wireless, Cisco Datacentre (ACI , F5 LTM, SD-WAN, ISE).
Proven experience in incident management, service request management and problem solving.
Experience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools.
Ability to deliver against deadlines and agreed targets.

Qualifications
Any Graduate (IT) / Preferable Engineering Graduate
Industry accreditation desirable (Examples – CCNA, CCNP, VCA, F5, SD-WAN)
