JOB PURPOSE

To Sustain IT Operations regarding communication systems as a part of Operations and Project Assignment; To ensure high system uptime availability for identified Airport IT Communication Systems To provide cost estimation and technical solutions for new projects requirements (SME) to optimize cost, quality and timely delivery of project.

Responsible to implement and manage Communication Systems packages like (TMRS, VHF, MPAS, IP Telephony, PAVA, MATV, Audio Visual) and explore new technologies in Communication domain.

ORGANISATION CHART

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Technology & Operational support (Functional & Domain):

• Governance for IT Communication Systems which includes Tetra, VHF, Telephony, Audio Video, IVRS, MATV, PAVA, Speech & Siren, MPAS and e-Processing.
• Responsible for O&M Scope Delivery, SLA Adherence, OPEX budget planning for Key IT Communication Systems for Tetra, VHF used across IGIA
• Special Accountability for communication Services (Telephony, Unified Communication, VC, PA system) in DIAL Guest House facilities, NUB, Project Office.
• Weekly review Operation for incident analysis with WAISL for communication packages.
• Support during major incident, Review RCA provided by Service provider.
• Review Operation support during major incident (S1 & S2), Review RCA provided by Service provider.

Projects Management / New Product evaluation:

• Technology selection, Architecture & Design review, Technical Evaluation. Analysis of OEM proposed solution and preparation of BOQ, CAPEX budget planning for above IT Communication Systems. Preparing BoQs, Scope of work, Note for approvals, Technical evaluations, responding RFPs and conducting POCs according to business requirement.
• Working with project team and provide technical support & evaluation for all communication packages.
• Driving the entire communication Tech-refresh program for detail designing, implementation and cutover phases along with user level training.
• Meeting with different OEM and discussion on latest available technology
• BOQ preparation and budget preparation for IT infra related devices for all projects
• SOW, and Technical solution document preparation including Project plan and timelines.
• Integration planning: new infra with existing running infra
• Review Architecture and gap analysis in case issue is brought during project delivery and suggest mitigation plan
• Testing and UAT, Vendor signoff and Handover of Project to operation

Stakeholder Management:

• Interaction with business user department (S&V & TOPS etc) for IT infra related understanding and conclusion towards solution.
• Interface with government Agencies/officials like DOT/WPC, TRA for liaising purpose wireless licenses
• Internal stakeholder management for strategic IT innovation Projects through structured program life cycle of planning & design
• Interface with government officials like Immigration, CISF, AAI for IT Infrastructure related requirements
• Interface with OEM for new requirements and service betterment

Vendor Management

• Interact with Vendors specialized in Airport systems to understand their Products with respect to infra support.
• Engage with Vendors and review of deliveries and performance against defined requirements

AMC / CMC

• Monitoring & Renewal of all AMC/CMC’s W.r.t to IT.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

All Airlines & Concessionaires to understand their issues w.r.t IT & resolution of the same for overall improvement in service standards.

With Vendors to carry out the new projects & resolution of incidents on existing infra as & when required & for procurement of IT peripherals.

With all the ISP’s to enable them to serve the Concessionaires & Airlines better.

Govt Regulatory & IT Vendors.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

All End users to understand & resolve their issues w.r.t to requirement.

All the internal IT stakeholders (Package Managers) to facilitate the recovery of incident w.r.t package ASAP.

All the Department such as Electrical Maintenance & Civil, Terminal Operations, Finishers,

FMS & Security for better coordination in achieving IT deliverables.

IT helpdesk & Service Desk representatives to ensure timely closure of all the calls with respect to infra.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

B. Tech/BE /MCA

Technical certification: IOT/DAS, but not mandatory.

Non – Tech Certification: PMP, ITIL framework knowledge but not mandatory.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Total Experience of at least 5 – 8 years with at least 4 years in Networks & Communication

Working experience in Aviation industry would be add on, not mandatory.
