This role is part of the End User Services team tasked with providing end-user IT support and deploying, managing, and securing endpoints globally. We’re looking for a talented individual to join the team as a Sr IT Specialist – Deskside Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly progressive and transformative IT team.
What you’ll do:
Provide onsite and remote connection support for IT related end user issues
Support provisioning and deprovisioning of hardware, software and accounts for new hires and exits
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues within SLA commitments
Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals
Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software
Troubleshooting networking and connection issues
Advising on software or hardware upgrades
Maintain IT Asset database and stock management.
Providing basic training in computer operation and management
Management of end user devices (macOS, Windows, iOS and Android) via the use of endpoint management tools
Partner with IT Security to ensure end user devices are patched and managed to security standards, compliance and best practices
Document processes and update/improve current documentation
Preferred qualifications:
B. S. in Computer Science or equivalent IT experience
Strong fundamentals in mobile (iOS/Android), macOS, Windows and printer management
Extensive knowledge of home and office systems
Strong Ticketing system experience (e.g. Fresh Service, Service Now)
Strong Knowledge and experience supporting SaaS Collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Office 365 or Google Application Suite)
Hands on experience with endpoint management solutions (e.g. MS Intune, Jamf, WorkspaceOne)
Hands on experience with Azure AD, Active Directory and Group Policy
Hands on experience in supporting VIP /Executive users and high-level interpersonal skills.
Good problem-solving skills
Experience with working with a mix of local & globally distributed teams
Willing to be on-call as part of a team rotation
Empathy for end users and a passion for frictionless user experience
