Cradlepoint is looking for a Network and Systems Administrator to join the Network team to support our Bangalore, India office. This team is responsible for the design, implementation, coordination, and management of the IT infrastructure and network for the Bangalore office of Cradlepoint.
The successful candidate will have a key role in the daily administration of the Cradlepoint IT network environment as well as provide end-user support in a dynamic office environment. Primary responsibilities include maintenance and support of network hardware across the Bangalore office. Additional primary responsibilities include supporting and enabling the organization’s business ventures, providing basic end-user support, and troubleshooting staff endpoint device issues.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, and be a team player. Support and on-call duties will be necessary as required.
What Will You Do?
Position will be split between two (2) primary functions:
Providing local Tier I and Tier II tech support for the Cradlepoint Corporate Help Desk
Primary on-site support of network infrastructure: Firewalls, routers, switches, etc.
Partner with senior engineers to assist with the implementation of design & architecture improvements
Install upgrades, patches, etc. for network infrastructure
Monitor logs and services to ensure network performance and availability
Work closely with Help Desk staff to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
Work closely with Help Desk staff to troubleshoot desktop and laptop issues
Participate in an on-call rotation as necessary
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Information Technology, or a related field of study
Relevant industry certifications including, CompTIA A+/Network+, Cisco CCENT/CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS/JNCIE-ENT, Microsoft MCSE or MCITP, and VMware VC
Relevant industry Microsoft certifications
One to two (1-2) years of experience in the networking field of Information Technology
Solid understanding of core networking concepts
TCP/IP, DNS, routing, sub-netting, and other protocols
Experience with enterprise network switch and router configurations
Experience with configuring and maintaining firewalls
Experience with managing and maintaining Windows and MacOS devices
Bonus Points:
Experience with remote access technologies (VPN, terminal services, etc.)
Experience scripting in Windows/Linux utilizing PowerCLI, Perl, Python, and Bash
Experience with wireless (Wi-Fi) technologies
Aruba would be preferred
Experience with Linux based Operating Systems
