Job Description

Manage IT infra that includes end users workstations, desktops, laptops and server, storage, High Performance Computing cluster units from various OEMs with Windows primarily, but other flavours of Unix operating systems

Manage overall solution & service delivery for prioritized projects, rollouts, enhancements and break-fixes

Manage underlying compute, storage infrastructure includes Hypervisor platforms and services hosted at DR site as applicable and ensure high availability of critical application/Infra services

Ensure overall IT infrastructure is up to date and secure from internal and external threats by configuring required controls at various layers

Process simplification through automation wherever feasible

Responsible for integrated incident, change and problem management

Conduct risk assessments and come out with mitigation plans to address availability / security concerns

Maintain required records needed for various IT / Security Standard guidelines

Lead/collaborate with external product & services vendors for projects execution & support

Manage internal and customer escalations effectively

Identify root cause of an event that resulted in an undesired outcome, develop corrective actions and share with respective stakeholders

Manage, lead and mentor team members. Set measurable goals and deadlines for team members

Manage budget, cost and productivity of the tools used in your area

Handle changing priorities and provide decisive leadership in complex situations

Team Leadership:

Manage a team of IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and other relevant roles. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Technology Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential to improve the organization’s infrastructure and operations

Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols, practices, and technologies to protect the organization’s IT assets and data. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to IT security and data privacy.

Experience, Skills

15+ years of experience in core IT Infrastructure Management

Proven experience of successfully delivering projects on-time, within budget, timely communication on projects progress and in scope working in close collaboration with partners and peers located worldwide

Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a group of senior technical / management teams

Knowledge and experience working in an ISO 27001, ITIL driven environment

Should be able to organize teams and resolve critical situation or complex requirements.

Familiar with tools and technology necessary to manage support (Ticketing tool, monitoring tools, management tools, project tracking etc.)

Ability to work within a fast-paced, high pressure, dynamic environment

Should be able to influence decision-making and drive project delivery.

Knowledge/Experience of public and hybrid cloud solution in AWS/Azure or in both technologies will be an added advantage.
