The Senior Network Support Engineer will act as the primary contact for Dell customer on network related issues.
The work is office-based, although you may need to work remotely across different customer sites depending on the size of the organization and their network.
Respond to day-to-day network support requests from Customer, own and resolve technical reported issue to customer satisfaction via phone, Webex or email.
Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve network related issues.
Provide remote support to Dell on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation/replacement process.
Work closely with the Network Level 2 / 3 and escalate issue that needs immediate assistance.
Have the technical capacity to mentor peers and act as escalation point for complex issues.
Ready to support Dell Global customers and willing to work in shifts including night shift.

What you will do :
Provide hardware and software technical support, including configuration assistance and troubleshooting of devices and other peripheral networking equipment
Handles customer issues from beginning to resolution
Uses troubleshooting techniques and tools to identify products that are defective and follow guidelines in issuing service calls/contacts.
Advises/educates customers within procedural guidelines to ensure a complete solution to their technical or service questions.
Identifies and provides input on unique or recurring customer problems.
Remains knowledgeable of Dell’s product line, current industry products and technologies and focuses on delivering a positive customer experience according to Dell standards.
Monitors and tracks issues to ensure accurate resolution.
Escalate when required to next level on technical issue and resolve customer reported issues within agreed SLA.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Understanding of OSI Layers and TCP/IP reference model.
In depth knowledge in switching technologies like ARP, VLAN 802.1Q, all flavors of STP, Link aggregation, MLAG/VPC, Stacking, Unicast, Multicast and Broadcast traffic analysis.
Technical competency should cover components such as routers, switches, load-balancers, DNS and Wireless devices.
Extensive knowledge and network troubleshooting skills in IP routing and switching protocols: STP, RSTP, Dot1x, VRRP, SNMP, QoS, Port-Channel, LLDP/DCBX, DHCP, FCoE, iSCSI, Port Mirroring, VLAN, GVRP/VTP, AAA, DNS, Static Routing, L2/L3 Multicast, VRF, OSPF, BGP and IP/MAC Access Lists.
Experience in log analysis, data correlation, Understanding of Network topology and knowledge in packet analysis using Wireshark application.
Knowledge of Server / Virtualization will be an added advantage.
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience
The ability to work independently in a complex environment
Desired Skills
Certifications such as JNCIA or CCNA is required, JNCIP or CCNP is added value..
