The Core Business Operations (CBO) portfolio is an integrated set of offerings that addresses our clients’ heart-of-the-business issues. Application Modernization Innovation (AMI) delivers end-to-end technology and application solutions to enable and improve our clients’ core business operations. Cloud Engineering Services (CES) is focused on end-to-end cloud services from migration strategy into transformation and cloud operations.

Core Industry Solutions (CIS) is focused on industry vertical, sector specific solutions that drive operational change and automate the core of the business

Operations Transformation (OT) is focused on creating a flexible, innovative business model for clients supported by a strong operations foundation. CBO serves clients across Life Sciences and Health Care, Government & Public Services and Financial Services among other industries.

Core Technology Operations (CTO) offers differentiated Operate services for our clients with solutions to help organizations manage their portfolio of IT applications, scale and optimize critical business operations, drive speed to the outcome, deliver business transformation.

Cloud Solution Architect – AWS

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will lead technical teams to deliver cutting edge solutions on cloud platforms for some of our Fortune 1000 clients. You will have the opportunity to contribute to work that may involve building new cloud solutions, migrating an application to co-exist in the hybrid cloud, deploying a global cloud application across multiple countries or providing design guidance /POC for our managed services team for continuous optimization. Our teams of technologists have a diverse range of skills and we are always looking for new ways to innovate and help our clients succeed.

Work you’ll do

Cloud Solution Architect at Deloitte will be responsible for designing, developing and cloud software applications for enterprise clients, from the technological evaluation stage through final production delivery and installation. You will further support proposal development and other pursuit activities. Some of the key areas where cloud solution architect will be involved are mentioned below.

o Participate and drive scoping and technical requirements gathering sessions for customer’s cloud program

o Provide expert advice on cloud native and micro services based application solutions design, development, and resolution of technical issues

o Provide expert advice on IaaC and configuration management on AWS using third party tools (such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet etc.)

o Specific experience with Serverless applications on AWS Lambda and Fargate.

o Extensive experience designing and working with container-based applications on EKS or ECS.

o Experience working with flavors of RDS and Elasticache.

o Provide advice design, integration and implementation of cloud engineering and operations solutions

o Assist application development teams with cloud environment sizing, design of disaster recovery capabilities to meet the app needs

o Design and implement infrastructure environment provisioning, PaaS and / or entire application stack provisioning on cloud platforms

o Assist application development teams and client executives with management and governance of cloud capability usage and support optimizing the consumption

o Support development and implementation of cloud management dashboards to enable monitoring and governance of cloud platforms

o Design and implement cloud solutions. Able to perform risk

o Develop design documents for complex architectures and designs.

o Document both high-level and detailed specifications for complex architectures and designs.

o Support proposal development and other pursuit activities

o Provide architecture and proof of concepts for migration exiting application to cloud environment

o Build meaningful relationship with clients

o Publish whitepapers / point of views and act as an evangelist to the Deloitte brand

o Work both independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment based on the project requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Required:
o 9+ years of industry experience

o Hands on experience in designing HLD’s and LLD’s Architecture documents for AWS cloud environments using EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, VPC Peering, VPC End Point, Auto Scaling, SNS, Lambda, EBS etc. Establish AWS VPN from AWS to On-prem, whenever required

o Designing and provisioning computing web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, Amazon CloudFront)

o Experience in AWS DevOps tool chain together with Jenkins /Puppet / Chef, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, etc.

o Strong architecture design experience (at least 4 years) of experience deploying enterprise applications on AWS

o Hands on experience in Log and Performance Monitoring tools using ELK, Kibana, Logstash, etc.

o Prior experience migration and modernization of legacy applications to AWS

o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional would be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

o Full-stack experience including web, UI/UX, Data, Data Format, Cloud Migration, Database Design and Cloud hosting

o Experience in designing hybrid application architecture and multi-cloud application architecture

o Strong understanding of PaaS platforms and Microservices architecture

o Prior involvement in preparation of technical strategy and approach documents

o Can independently provide proof of concepts, analysis of alternatives, and brief their results to client stakeholders

o Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

o Strong communicator

o Candidates with solution architect certification on any cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) will be preferred
