Role Description
Data underpins much of the Corporate Bank’s growth agenda, forming the foundation to a number of product opportunities which are seen as instrumental in ourdivision level strategy. It is critical that in pursuing these opportunities we ensure that we create stable and well controlled data products. As we continue to build out our presence on Google Cloud Platform an efficient, automated, and effective analytic environment is critical for the Corporate Bank and our client’s data.
The (Data) Business Analyst works to support the Corporate Bank in creating new datasets and create business relevant data analyses on our data provision. This position sits in the Business Development group and aligns to our Data Services Tribe as part of our AccelerateAgile setup – providing a great opportunity for someone to combine strong data management practice with Agile change delivery.

Your key responsibilities
The (Data) Business Analyst provides insightful analysis of information, from a variety of sources, to key stakeholders, based on deep subject matter expertise and effective use of an extensive analytics toolkit. The (Data) Business Analyst manages key relationships with functional SMEs on related subjects. The (Data) Business analyst drives the development of best practice approaches within the CB Data Services Team as an enabling product service to business consumers, establishing business analysis, engineering and governance tasks for analytic datasets, upon which valuable data products can be built.
