Role Description
Our technology teams are responsible for the bank’s complete information technology infrastructure. They develop and maintain programs that are required for the bank’s business. The teams work closely with the business units and other infrastructure units to modernize their IT systems to reduce complexity, minimize risk, and enable growth.

The position is for Corporate Bank – Transaction Surveillance Technology area. Our goal is to protect our customers and Deutsche Bank against breaches of sanctions & embargo policies, as well as against fraud and company-damaging business practices in payments. Therefore, we develop innovative software solutions for checking regulatory and technical requirements in real time.
To strengthen our development team, we are looking for Site Reliability Engineer who can design, develop and implement innovative solutions to achieve our goal. In addition, this role will function as IT Application Owner for the transaction filtering system.
As SRE your primary responsibility is to ensure the stability and supportability of the application. You’ll act as a bridge between our engineering and support teams ensuring timely resolution of the issues and proactive actions to improve system stability. As ITAO you are responsible to manage and maintain application instance(s); ensuring compliance with applicable IT policies & procedures with specific consideration to IT Management and Information Security policies.

Your key responsibilities
As IT application owner, you are responsible for –
Ensure compliance of the application with applicable IT policies & procedures with specific consideration to IT Management and IS policies
Facilitate periodic reviews for the product/application on capacity, performance & consumption (Forecast and management based on business plans)
Oversee and be accountable for timely software patching and certificate renewals by infrastructure teams
Act as the SPOC for all compliance and audit queries for the application
Review and analyse the impact and accept/reject all changes to application to ensure stability and compliance of the system
As part of SRE chapter, you are responsible for –
Owns the monitoring and alerting structure for transaction scanning system and works collaboratively with Feature Engineers in setting it up
Contribute to automate production processes and minimise manual intervention
Escalation of incidents / requests that cannot be resolved in this function to SRE lead and Feature Engineers, while keeping the responsibility to interact with requesting user(s)
End to end Environment support for all technical issues and reduce MTTR (mean time to resolution) in production
Acts as the PoC for requests/incidents from technical peer teams and operation teams
Champions delivery of SRE technical debt topics with Product owner and feature engineers along the agile delivery structure
Works intimately with Feature Engineering team early in the SLDC life-cycle on delivering all Operational requirements (OR)
Provides best practices solution and standard tool knowledge to achieve OR compliance
Supports in the usage of the CI/CD tool-chain for his Squad and own responsibility of UAT and Production deployment
Your skills and experience
Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer-Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent. Total 10-12 years of experience in IT industry with exposure to full SDLC cycle.
Technical Skills
Experience in tools – ITRS Geneos , Splunk , AppDynamic
Experience in Ansible or any other automation tool
Experience of working in ticketing tool: ServiceNow / Jira
Experience of working on Unix, relational database, scripting language, MQ
Basic knowledge of any Object Oriented language (Java or Python)
Basic knowledge of CICD tool chain knowledge (Bitbucket, Team City, Artifactory, Udeploy)
Understanding of ITIL and DevOps structure and processes
Nice to Have
Experience working with GCP/Azure/AWS cloud
Experience of working in Financial institution / payment domain
