Dow Looking for Operations IT Solution Specialist at Chennai, Tamil Nadu Full Time

Participates as a key contributor throughout the lifecycle of digital solutions (design, build, implementation, optimization, maintenance support, and end-of-life retirement) delivering advanced functional and business capabilities within the Operations Manufacturing & Engineering context. Works collaboratively with other IT subject matter experts to design, develop, optimize, and implement innovative and efficient solutions leveraging MET or strategically aligned and pre-existing solutions when applicable. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge and acts as a subject matter expert for the architecture and technology of IT solutions, techniques, and tools. Works under the technical guidance of a Senior Solution specialist and the functional guidance of a Solution Manager ensuring adherence to design best practices, work process requirements, and mitigation of IT risks. Provides support, training, and enhancements across strategic solutions utilized by our clients. Impacts the team’s results through the quality and effectiveness of their own work.

Responsibilities / Duties:
Creates and contributes to a community of solution experts and acts as a consultant in their area of expertise.

Responsible for timeliness of deliverables, responsiveness to client requests, and accuracy of status information for solutions.

Communicates and collaborates with Solution Managers to receive direction and guidance, provide progress updates, and escalate concerns.

Participates as a key contributor in the full solution lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, implementation, change management, support, and retirement, with ability to operate in both waterfall and agile types of work processes, ensuring compliance to corporate, business, geographical, and functional standards, architecture guidelines, and information security policies.

Significant contributor to the solution development and build activities within the boundaries of the agreed upon project scope and requirements.

Participates in the documented testing strategy, performing unit and product testing and defect resolution for all testing feedback.

Responsible for timely and accurate creation of appropriate project documentation, process documentation, and training deliverables for solutions.

Provides support on IT solutions within the parameters of SLAs.

Experience:
Bachelor’s degree plus engineering, manufacturing, I/T or related experience required. In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience required.

Experience with scripting languages such as VB Script, Macro, SAP GUI Scripting, Python.

Experience with Power BI

Experience with Tableau (Optional).

SAP ECC experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the implementation of Information Technology solutions.

Proficient in database systems such as Access, MySQL, SQL, Oracle.

Proficient in report development using Power BI

Proficient in Power BI DAX and M queries
