Job responsibilities of Resident Engineer

Ø Responding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications

Ø Setting up and installing new computers, networks and software

Ø Installing updates, known as patches, to software applications

Ø Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office

Ø Diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults

Ø Monthly Preventive Maintenance to be done for all Assets and have the reports signed.

Ø Maintaining inventories of hardware spares.

Ø Managing backups of servers, in case of data loss

Ø Keeping a record of complaints along with call closure acknowledgement by customer.

Ø Sometimes have to be on call at evenings and weekends to deal with emergency breakdowns. You might sometimes have to work at weekends when businesses are closed, to install new computer systems.

Ø You may have to bend, kneel and lift and carry equipment.

Ø You would deal with customers by phone, email and face-to-face.

Ø You would have to meet targets for response times to calls and completing the request.

Educational and experience credentials

Ø Graduate / Diploma holder with minimum 1-2 years’ experience.

Ø Good knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

Ø Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hardware engineering, familiarity with a wide range of hardware devices.

Ø Effective communication skills.

Ø Proficient in email exchange and Online/Offline call logging process.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹8,712.00 – ₹12,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekend availability
