Responsibilities:
Shape solution options and influence strategic direction to ensure that the solutions designed are architecturally aligned
Develop solution designs and supporting technical design documentation in compliance with architectural strategies (vison and roadmap) and principles
Ensure that solutions adhere to required standards on security, infrastructure, services, delivery and quality assurance in order to ensure business solutions bring real value to the organization
Develop an in-depth understanding of the specific business areas to which you are aligned and have an understanding of organizational inter dependencies to ensure an enterprise view when designing business solutions
Maintain relationships with client or internal Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysis and IT Delivery in order to influence decisions made in the scoping of projects and to influence architectural direction
Promote awareness of new and emerging technologies among staff and the business
Maintain a high level of business engagement to inspire confidence in IT as a trusted business partner
Embed a culture of continuous improvement in the Solution Architecture team by looking for and driving improvements to ‘ways of working’, processes, tools and techniques
Provide relevant skills transfer, coaching and mentoring to team members to share expertise
Implement solutions as per design document with innovative technologies, build POC environments and demonstrate to client functionality of the solution.
Mentor and train resources to deliver quality product and help team build up capabilities for managing solution operationally.

Qualifications:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Skills:

Experience:
At least 4 years experience in designing and delivering solutions for blue chip organizations
13 to 15 years of overall IT experience, potentially in a variety of roles in IT.
Experience in Hybrid IT Infrastructure technologies including public cloud and in premise environment.
Experience with microservices and containerization.
Experience with Infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools
Experience with one of the Configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet
Ability to produce concise, accurate solution designs to meet business problems
Significant experience of design and systems architecture
Significant experience of providing technical solutions to business problems
Experience of senior stakeholder engagement
The ability to influence stakeholder decision making based on your expertise
