Job Role Responsibilities
Technical support analyst will provide operational support, technical issue resolution & consultation of the information technology infrastructure operations.
Act as a point of escalation for client supported technologies, operation of customized windows 10 operating system images used across for ExxonMobil desktops and laptops related computing services
Identify and resolve desktop application issues for core 1 (e.g. Microsoft office suite, acrobat reader), core 2 (e.g. visio, acrobat suite)
Identify the cause and resolve windows security issues (e.g., SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection), SentinelOne, bitlocker)
Use computing lab for practice, observation and testing of computing technologies
Coordinate with other ExxonMobil information technology teams (e.g. Level 1 & 2 support , Branch, Email, Applications etc)
Escalate to L4 device solutions engineering when needed
Vendor liaison for problem escalation (E.g. DELL, Microsoft, Xerox)
Management of incident for escalated high business impact incidents
Giving consultation on best practices and common resolution
Monitor and close ServiceNow tickets
Be a part of remediation activities if needed (MECM – Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, SEP(Symantec Endpoint Protection),. HPA (High Priority Applications) etc)
Participate in Small work items or projects proactively
Provide solutions for client devices (core software and hardware), focusing on SCCM(System Center Configuration Manager)/MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) infrastructure
Design, develop, and test solutions for desktop environment
Act as change coordinator, responsible to plan, create, test and steward changes till it is implemented
Develop and maintain infrastructure practices, security & controls
Supervise performance of the environment by testing and measuring performance impacts of new releases
Keep the operating system and core software updated by applying patches whenever required
Provide support to technical support groups and end users
Basic knowledge of major incident management (MIM), to join the bridge calls & provide expertise for quick resolution to high priority incidents.
Job Requirements
Minimum bachelor degree in technology or science from a recognized university with a score of 6 CGPA and above
Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
Technical knowledge & demonstrated expertise in the major functions and features of software and hardware infrastructure
Good analytical, troubleshooting ,problem solving skills and should be a good team player
Microsoft SCCM(System Center Configuration Manager)/MECM(Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) expertise is preferred
Experience in windows operating system and office package
Knowledge and skill sets to install, configure, maintain and support networks
Knowledge of network services (AD/PKI (Active Directory & Public Key Infrastructure), DNS/DHCP (Domain Name System/Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), GPO (Group Policy Objects), Netlogon (Robocopy for staging application files on end user devices)
Experience in scripting (PowerShell), orchestrator or automation workflow tool
Experience in laptop/desktop security and support
Flexible to coordinate with customer, team members and global team.
Willingness to learn new technologies and processes
Self-motivated, customer focus, adaptability to change, able to manage time efficiently.
Flexible to work in shifts ( 1.30 PM – 10.30 PM IST)
