Business Unit Overview
Working as a full-time IT Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating training programs for employees in Fastenal IT. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that meet the needs of employees and align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Training Strategy Development: Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and execute the company’s training strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Training Program Design: Design and develop comprehensive training programs for employees at all levels, including technical and non-technical staff. Create training materials, resources, and curriculum using instructional design principles.
Training Delivery: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on various topics, such as technical skills, software applications, compliance training, leadership development, or other relevant areas. Utilize a variety of training methods and delivery platforms to ensure effective learning outcomes.
Training Needs Assessment: Collaborate with department heads and HR Manager to identify skill gaps and training requirements. Conduct training needs assessments, and analyze feedback to customize training programs that address specific needs.
Training Evaluation and Improvement: Develop evaluation mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Collect feedback from participants, assess training outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to enhance program quality.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external training providers and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources. Evaluate and select appropriate vendors for specific training programs, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality training content.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Oversee the administration and maintenance of the company’s learning management system. Ensure the LMS is user-friendly, up-to-date, and supports the delivery of training materials. Provide technical support and guidance to employees using the LMS.
Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop and manage the training budget. Optimize resource allocation and identify cost-effective training solutions to maximize the impact of training initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with HR Manager, department heads, and senior leadership to understand training requirements and align training programs with organizational objectives. Maintain effective communication and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Preferred Position Qualification
Degree in an Information Technology discipline or other closely related field preferred
5+ years of relevant experience in Training and Development focused role
