Role Summary: Reporting to the CIO, this role will provide strategic, analytic, and financial support to the IT Leadership Team, including interfacing with the Finance organization to ensure accurate and timely data submission for the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and reports. In this newly designed role, the ideal candidate will have a background that blends IT aptitude with financial savvy and experience, enabling the individual to translate smoothly between both functions for optimal results and streamlined processes.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Work closely with IT Leadership to manage all aspects of the IT budget, including the annual budget process, maintaining controls, reporting throughout the year etc.
Serve as the conduit between the IT and Finance organizations, interfacing with Financial partners as the expert on IT spend and budgeting
Develop expertise on IT contract management, work with IT leadership to understand the impact of changes to our project, services, hardware or software contracts to our organization, staffing levels and future spend and budget
Support the capital investment and management process by providing leadership and necessary analysis to facilitate gate reviews, projections, etc.
Work with IT Leadership to implement fit for purpose tools to assess projects and initiatives. Build and validate business cases in partnership with IT leaders, educate IT Leadership in appropriate project financial KPI’s, e.g. NPV, IRR etc.
Analyze and forecast the depreciation of IT Projects going into service, and liaise with Finance to ensure that depreciation is managed appropriately
Participate actively as a support member of the IT Leadership Team
Provide analysis and data to the IT Leadership Team in support of functional strategy and objectives, e.g. Long-term budget impact of shifting to a Global Support Model, Creation of new COE’s, Outsourcing of specific work streams
Analyze and identify opportunities for cost savings, enhanced financial controls, process efficiencies, and analytics to demonstrate performance and cost savings
Implement continuous improvement and change management to simplify and streamline processes, systems, and procedures
In addition, this role will support the analysis of strategic initiatives related to the Business Support Center as directed by the CIO
Occasional travel to key IT Locations and Centers of Excellence will be required

Preferred Experience / Skills:
Experience in Finance or Accounting
Experience in a Finance/Accounting role supporting an IT or technology-based organization
Prior experience supporting, advising, and influencing executive and senior level leadership
Excellent communication skills, reflecting the ability to interact effectively at all levels in the organization
Demonstrated results orientation and ability to constructively challenge the status quo
Demonstrated ability to work successfully under pressure with a high attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of BPC, Hyperion/Essbase, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP Software preferred
BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 8-10 years relevant experience
