IT Admin Assistant
This is an unmissable opportunity for an ambitious IT Admin Assistant to step up into a role that offers internal progression and learning.
Objectives
Aligning technology with business goals.
Building and maintaining the IT infrastructure.
Maintaining the security of IT environment within the organization.
Keeping technology used up-to-date with current changes.
Duties will include:
Solving IT issues by providing remote assistance to employees through IT ticket system.
Ensuring timely closure of the reported Desktop tickets / issues.
Performing routine IT checks for all laptops / mobile devices across the organization as a part of preventive check.
Installation and Administration of the IT devices like Laptop, Desktop & Printer.
Installation and configuration of Windows Operating System.
Setting up and maintaining LAN / WAN and system security.
Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
Providing basic knowledge to employees to avoid first hand problems arising out of usage of laptops, devices and servers.
Attending company webinars to assist management in technical areas at the time of webinars.
Configuring, mapping and administering of google cloud storage of the organization. (Google Workspace management)
Backing up, archiving and retrieving data.
Documenting processes.
Handling Documentation and Excel related admin task.
Creating user accounts and performing access control.
Formulating efficient policies, including information systems security policy and user access policy.
Ensuring security and confidentiality of data across different user accounts.
Maintaining asset register including user accounts register along with stock count of IT assets.
Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
Performing IT support duties as defined by the appropriate Team Lead.
Reports to: Line Manager
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.
Professional qualification such as Google Workspace Administrator.
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Knowledge / Experience/ Skills :
Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace Management and related applications including Google Drive, Google Admin etc.
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment including Outlook, Sharepoint etc.
Working knowledge of Endpoint remote management applications.
Working knowledge of email servers & domains.
Knowledge of Data Backup applications.
Exposure to PC, laptop, printer troubleshooting & OS installation.
Experience in administration of IT systems, networks, system security and related technologies.
Good English communication skills needed.
Good organizational, and time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Location: Kolkata (Salt Lake City, Sector – V, India)
Office Timing: Office hours to coincide with UK working hours (12:30 AM – 09:30 PM)
Office Days – Monday to Friday (5 Days a week)
(Cab drop / transport allowance to be provided separately)
