Position Summary

This position is responsible for translating Customers Enquiries, Drawings, Specifications to Gates Parts and build BOMs and prepare quote proposals for 2 wheeler mobility customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

• Product proposal to customer with feasibility study and decodification.
• To coordinate with Manufacturing and build sample as per customer requirements.
• Spearhead OEM / large aftermarket customers and other prospective customer calls on product or application engineering and specifications and providing technical ‘hot line’ support i.e. right product selection for industrial applications
• To identify VA/VE opportunities and provide best solutions with existing products.
• To support overall commercial objectives by developing strong engineering relationships with engineers within assigned key customers.
• To provide inputs to technical / product development in developing new products / assemblies to meet specific customer performance requirements.
• New product development time plan finalization with customer and supplier.
• New product development and coordination of supplier & customer PPAP

Supervisory Responsibilities

The incumbent operates as Individual contributor and reports to General Manager Sales and support him in all day to day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

• B tech – Mechanical engineering with 7~9 year expectance and experience in similar industry
• Strong experience as application engineering expert in manufacturing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Fair amount (approx. 40 ~ 60%) of domestic travel is required.
