Vendor Management Process, Tools, and Data Governance
Develop and implement Vendor engagement process to ensure that requests are compliant with internal and external requirements, improve the input quality from requesters for sourcing review and support internal stakeholders to find the right vendor at the right time with right price
Help design and roll-out a vendor lifecycle management framework to oversee planning and risk assessment, sourcing, and selection of new vendors, manage data for vendor performance and manage vendor off-boarding
Improve internal process productivity and end-user experience ensuring on-time delivery of overall vendor engagement cycle time
Partner with sourcing team, develop and implement the VMO and Sourcing tool strategy to optimize contract document mgmt. and communication across Internal IT, Sourcing/VMO team and suppliers
Provide the clear visibility of overall contract data to stakeholders, and proactively identify potential risk, implement key controls
Develop reporting, support VMO Leader to facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers, and develop Annual Supplier Portfolio Summary reports
Vendor Engagement & Onboarding Management
Review and confirm Vender Engagement and Contract Purchase Order requests across Contractor Services, Hardware, Software from internal GE IT teams
Create the collaborative environment across the vendors, internal stakeholders such as Sourcing, Finance and Ops leaders, lead group of people from different teams to define common solution(s)
Support sourcing team to better negotiate vendor agreement terms varying in size, scope, and type by improving/ensuring solid input quality from stakeholders
Define and implement the process for identifying, onboarding, and managing new suppliers to meet business needs and company financial and diversity objectives
Vendor engagement process – End user & Vendor training
Evaluate existing processes and continually formulate/refine guidelines and supplier engagement and contracting practices
Deliver relevant training content to business stakeholders to ensure a consistent vendor relationship management framework
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or business-related degree program
Minimum 5 years Business Operations and Financial experience working with managed technical services
Minimum 2 years in Information Technology sourcing or vendor management
Desired Characteristics/Technical Expertise:
Program management background to develop and manage schedules, identify, and manage risks, manage scope and timelines by mitigating constraints/blockers
Technical background to solve complex technical problems, design solutions, make technical trade-off decisions, and work closely with teams to drive implementation
Advanced knowledge of operations, processes, and tools; understanding of change management, knowledge management and project management concepts
Understand key cross-functional concepts that impact the organization; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics
Business Acumen:
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking ability with strong understanding of Agile methods
Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the scrum team
Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders
Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment
Leadership:
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals
Ability to manage and solve for complex business problems and priorities

Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team

Able to work under minimal supervision
