Strong Networking experience with good debugging skill related to network issue ranging from L2 through L7 > * Understanding of Routing Protocols / Firewall / Load Balancers > * Ability to understand customer issue and convert them into problem reproduction internally > * Good Documentation skills > * Ability to create customer facing Root Cause Analysis Documents / KB Articles > * Must have Customer Support background and understand nuances of Customer Escalations > * Must know when to engage engineering and when not to by assessing the situation and impact > * Must be able to file defects on products when a problem has been identified > * Must have a good understanding of Follow The Sun Model and be able to handover to next region * Excellent Communication Skills * Must be able to face customer directly to explain the problem > * Communicate effectively * Good understanding of Release Management * Ability to work for extended hours based on criticality of escalation * Typically we have a warm handover but in case there is need for all hands on deck r the engineer is well versed on the problem, there may be situations where he may have to come to rescue * This is atypical but one has to be willing to in case a situation arises * Must be able to work on escalation if and when it comes during holidays and weekends Good to have: * Good hands on experience in Network Virtualization – can be Citrix / VMware or other hypervisor platforms > * Any experience in debugging and troubleshooting NSX-V | NSX-T and VMware ESX is an added bonus >
