Google Looking for Network Engineer, VMware at Bengaluru, Karnataka Full Time

Minimum qualifications:
CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE network certifications or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in networking environments.

Experience working in a multi-vendor environment.

Experience with enterprise network design and operations in a global environment.

Preferred qualifications:
VMware network certifications (VCP-NV/VCIX-NV/VCDX-NV).

Knowledge of the IS-IS, VXLAN, BGP, EVPN, and Network Virtualization technologies/protocols.

Knowledge of Linux networking functionalities.

Knowledge of VPN technologies (Palo Alto, VyOS, pfSense, Cisco ASR).

Knowledge of Python or Go.

In this role, you will assist in launching and on-going supporting the Google VMware Engine service and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Scale systems sustainably through tools and automation, and evolve systems by driving change that improves reliability and velocity.

Plan and implement change management across fleet while maintaining 4×9 availability

Design and implement processes for the efficient operation of networks and VMware stack and work to resolve internal network service issues in VMware Engine.

Network Virtualization and overlay architectures (SDN), design and implementation

Participate in rotating “on call” schedule with other members of the team, including during weekends
