About the Role
The Senior DevOps Engineer – DigITal CoC Engineering DevOps is working closely together with the Business Units of the global Engineering Department as an interface and optimization role to the DigITal env.
The primary scope is to design, implement and maintain enterprise level applications and Process with deep focus on software engineering processes and toolchains.
A Senior DevOps engineer will be working on high impact projects that are focused on next generation technologies as well as being involved in day-to-day business such as coordinating sever application deployment, performance & reliability optimization (in test and production environments).
Cultivating a strong partnership with our global software engineering teams is crucial to resolve complications and identify upcoming requirements.
What You Will Do
Independently gather requirements, Design, configure, implement and maintain DevOps implementations like
repository and artifact management (jFrog Artifactory)
version control (Google Gerrit, Atlassian Bitbucket, Subversion)
continuous integration / build automation (Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins / Hudson)
build tools (bitbacke, make, gclient, maven, ivy, gradle)
code review (Atlassian Crucible, Google Gerrit)
code analysis (Grammatech Codesonar, Blackduck Hub, SonarQube,)
Proactively & independently research and recommend improvements for DevOps solutions, tools and processes based on organizational requirements
Develop and apply automations & improvements for repeating activities, processes and reporting
Document system architecture, change and test processes, application configuration and training materials of the entire tool landscape
Support business stakeholders, system administrators or 3rd-party vendors with implementation and testing of system or application changes and access control rules
Troubleshoot functional or performance-related issues in the toolchain, including the surrounding infrastructure, in collaboration with other IT departments
Proactively monitor the system behavior to ensure availability and application health
What You Need
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology
Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, Build Automation, Code Quality Analysis, Reporting and License Server services
5+ years of experience in DevOps tools & processes and very strong understanding of supporting methodologies (e.g. Scrum, XP, Kanban, Scrumban, etc.)
Experience in administering Linux environments
Experience with Linux shell scripting (bash, sh, ksh, csh)
Experience with dynamically scaled enterprise build tools
Experience with managing Docker, authoring Dockerfiles or Kubernetes
Experience in administering repository and artifact management tools such as Artifactory, Archival, etc.
Experience maintaining shared license server services
Experience in administering build automation tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Team City, etc.
Experience in administering source code analysis tools such as CodeSonar, BlackDuck, SonarCube, etc.
Experience in source control management tools such as Git or Subversion
Experience with one or more programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, Groovy, C and C++
Experience configuring Apache and/or Nginx
Experience administering RDBMSs (e.g. MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres)
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and design papers
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
What is Nice to Have
Experience using AWS, GCP and/or Azure
Experience in Windows environments
Experience with Windows shell scripting
Knowledge and practical experience setting up web-based application environments (for example J2EE, LAMP)
What Makes You Eligible
