Leads architecture and development of enhancements and maintenance needs for Harman’s e-commerce storefront applications on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC). Evaluates the system continuously and identify areas for improvement or refactoring. Leads and mentors an Agile team of developers through day-to-day architectural decisions and code reviews to communicate and maintain coding and e-commerce best practices throughout our e-commerce landscape. Focused on the latest e-commerce technologies, Cloud trends, and security/compliance requirements so that they can be applied to solve business challenges with agile execution methodologies.
Take the leading role in developing and maintaining applications. Work with both business teams and software teams and develop requirements with clear project deliverables and timelines with agile methodology. Responsible for the development and support of all e-commerce storefront initiatives. Collaboration with other team members to develop and facilitate impactful content and applications. Work closely with internal and external technical resources to ensure proper application infrastructure. Ensure overall project documentation is completed and software development standards have been met.
Architect, design, and develop feature enhancements, new modules, and bug fixes on SFCC.
Individual contributor from Design to development.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and high-level designs that are secure, reliable and scalable.
Create reliable estimates for requirements.
Find opportunities to refactor code to continually improve performance and security.
Coordinate and communicate requirements between local and remote teams of architects and developers.
Ensure that design and implementation details are well documented throughout the SDLC.
Define implementation processes and improved coding standards.
Participate in a global team who provides 24×7 on-call support of e-commerce applications.
Keep up to date with latest SFCC, payment, security, and cloud trends which could be used to help solve business challenges.
Lead architectural design and code reviews, ensuring technical quality of project deliverables.
Contribute to the development of reusable components.
Communicate status of enhancements and corrections to stakeholders in a timely and transparent fashion.
Mentor developers and architects, improving their abilities and efficiently.
Quickly analyze and resolve critical issues.
Work closely with the QA team to evaluate testing strategy and coverage to ensure high deliverable quality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interact with business/partners/vendors to create end-to-end specifications for ecommerce solutions.
8+ years of total IT experience with special focus on architecture, design, and development of e-commerce solutions.
Minimum 5+ years of e-commerce development experience with hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C in a high-volume, high-transaction environment.
Working experience with SFCC/SFRA is must.
At least 3 years’ experience as Developer and solution Architect
Experience working as part of a Scrum team in an Agile development environment.
Experience with implementing and integrating third party systems like Payments, PIM, CMS with SFCC.
Strong experience in open commerce (OCAPI, SLAS ) features of SFCC
Strong experience on Catalog, Pricing, Inventory, Payment , Promotions modules of SFCC
Strong experience in multi country / multi-site features
Experience developing RESTful APIs
Ability to work and communicate effectively with project managers and various other stakeholders to help refine and capture software requirements.
Understanding of payment systems and PCI compliance standards.
Understanding of how best to mitigate the OWSAP Top Ten
Able to write cross-browser/mobile-friendly code.
Experience managing a Git repository in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Coding Best Practices & Design Patterns.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams with UI/UX /QA, Product and Project managers, and business stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, creativity, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment.

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related degree preferred.
