Job Family Definition:
Researches, designs, develops operates and maintains support services for existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions through integration of technical and business requirements per standard company IT process methodology (such as ITIL and ITSM). Includes identification, development and prioritization of support services according to business criticality. Applications and information systems solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, configuration of 3rd party software implementation of infrastructure solutions, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications, and support and maintenance of infrastructure and information systems. Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Participates in architecture reviews to ensure that solutions comply with standards and uses approved technologies. Typical customers are company end users and various functional areas such as Supply Chain, Research and Development, Marketing, Finance, a business, or the company.
Management Level Definition:
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
Responsibilities:
Participates as a member of the Global IT – Site Infrastructure Operations (SIO) technical team in support of the Infrastructure devices at a HPE site. Liaison with the end user between SIO and other technical infrastructure organizations.
Applies broad knowledge of technology and industry trends to operate high risk critical infrastructure platforms and user groups of high complexity.
Demonstrates technical leadership and exerts influence outside of immediate team.
May act as an Incident Life cycle coordinator or service delivery lead to provide resolution for complex issues. Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for the company and customers.
Mentors and consults with team members and other organizations, customers and vendors on complex issues.
Independently resolves highly complex technical issues within a given technical area. Collaborates with various teams while resolving issues.
Identifies potential escalations and proactively alerts management; leads and escalates appropriately.
Proactively searches for class issues and raises visibility to responsible organization to collaborate on solution.
Ensures the service level management process is adhered to by continuous review with partners and business users.
Apply a broad knowledge of technology to perform daily tasks at the site at which you are located and provide support for remote HPE sites. Follow all ticket management processes using ServiceNow.
Ability to help use process and tools to configure new laptops for new employee and provide some basic level of troubleshooting issues.
Acts as on site hands and eyes for infrastructure teams, checking devices, cabling, and port configurations.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems Computer Science or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills and technical leadership skills.
Strong experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. network devices, compute hardware, security, voice, end user devices).
Strong experience with implementation, problem analysis and solutioning of infrastructure.
Foundational or expert knowledge and experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
Exhibits a high level of initiative, accountability and integrity.
Strong problem solving, priority setting, and collaboration skills. Good organizational and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to use Influencing skills to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
